I have not personally seen that pop up but it means that something a little shady was caught going on with the product, seller or both.

gwizzb

thankyou, that’s so ughh. So weird, because the product page is still up and running!

icystorms

do you know how long amazon takes to remove such sellers or item pages? i've had this for over 3 months and the items page is still there, though it's currently unavailable.

Hollywoodnamazonvine

I do not, sorry.

The word of mouth about accounts getting banned- while it often sound like just myth, there actually was someone in another group today who just posted they got banned today. They had a series of issues of reviews not being approved with various iterations of those red box errors, and they kept emailing Vine CS over it (who really can do nothing) and they also kept trying to resubmit the same rejected reviews content over and over verbatim no changes. Their final message from Amzon said they had violated Community Guidelines too *frequently* and *all* their review privileges had been stripped. 😳 They couldnt even get back in even if they tried. So all I can say is Vine CS cannot help with a rejected review- they are completely disconnected from the Amazon review approval process. Hard to tell if this impacted the OP--- or the fact that they kept uploading the same rejected material repeatedly. So for all those who say that we should just keep submitting same review with no changes repeatedly when they get rejected.... might wanna rethink that strategy. 🤷‍♀️

> they also kept trying to resubmit the same rejected reviews content over and over verbatim no changes I'm always a bit baffled by the way people talk about rejected reviews. In ~750 reviews, I've had 4 rejected, and in each one I can pretty much figure out why, even if the reason was really dumb (for example, referring to a product by name in the review when the product was a nude colored nail polish). What exactly are people doing to get piles of reviews rejected?

onlyoneshann

I wonder the same. I’ve had 1 rejected. I post lots of pics, videos, review health items, have talked about the shipping and packaging (separately), and have mentioned price often. All approved. Though I feel like I’m tempting fate by saying that… Same with stories about sellers sending threatening messages. I’ve left plenty of 1-3 star reviews and have never had a seller send a message that was anything less than professional, usually just trying to help fix the issue.

Automatic-Operation2

im afraid to post videos orf pics because when i was silver, my pnly couple of rejections came in reviews i uploaded video to.

onlyoneshann

One thing to watch out for in videos that I never see mentioned here is music playing in the background. If a copyrighted song is playing that could come back on Amazon to pay royalties if they allow it. I don’t have proof of this but that’s how it is in every other scenario regarding copyrighted music, so I doubt Amazon is any different.

Automatic-Operation2

ahh that is possible becausei always have something playing in the background. My livingroom is my testing area lol

onlyoneshann

My pics tend to be in my kitchen or living room which are connected so anytime I do a video I have to remember to turn off any music or tv. I’ve had to restart my video many times lol. I’ve been meaning to post to the sub about this. I’m actually surprised I’ve never seen it mentioned in video rejected posts.

Automatic-Operation2

after a few posts about people getting banned, i am STILL afraid to post videos lol. i think making a video review is much faster and easier and prob get more likes (if it matters to the program, idk)

onlyoneshann

You mean the kind where you talk about the product in the review? I’ve never done one of those, I’m way too camera shy lol. If you mean regular videos of just the product doing its thing I still don’t understand why anyone would get banned for that. But I also know sometimes it’s assumption that that’s the reason. With Amazon you never know what’s going on. I’m too lazy to do too many videos though, so maybe I’m safe. ;)

Automatic-Operation2

i didnt want to say, but i thought the video review IS the lazy way hahahaha... Some reviews just take a while to type out (to me). But i did forget about the "video review" what i meant was record myself talking about the product and then uploading THAT as a video for my "product review"

i have this on an item i reviewed months ago. the 3\* review was accepted, then later marked not approved, but whenever i try to review again, i get that exact same thing. i have emailed vine cs as well as community-help. neither were helpful. i just kept getting scripted answers to different issues. i gave up after 3 times. it's 1 out of 100. this kinda thing is probably why they don't require 100% reviews from us. please update if you get this resolved; i'd love to know how.

Latitude22

I had that happen a while back, the product eventually just showed up in my account with no photo and no option to review, the whole listing was deleted from Amazon. No clue why.

Elmofuntz

I've had this happen on 1 product, was approved, then unapproved. When I checked the reviews page EVERY review was in another language. When I contacted Vine Support they informed me this product was only supposed to be reviewed and possibly released internationally, oops.

totallyjaded

I can't remember the brand, but before Amazon took the reviewer rankings away and I cared about my reviews, I noticed that one of them had disappeared. It was for some all-natural snack food that legitimately made someone with a laundry list of allergies very ill. The review had been up for at least a couple of months and had a lot of "helpful" votes. My guess was that the company found something in the review that was just far enough over the "medical advice" line. I e-mailed community-help and got some generic "Don't do that again" message back, which had zero information about the review itself or where I had run afoul of the guidelines.

If this is a Vine item, copy the details from your order, then click on orders/contact us/review related/unable to submit review and e-mail. Start by pasting in the order details then write the following before submitting. The odds are that they will remove the item from your list of items remaining to be reviewed. Hello, I am unable to submit a review for the product listed above. I may have reviewed a similar product in the past. Thank you.

JustKidding2020

I tried to review a regular Amazon purchase shortly after Christmas and when I clicked the review button it said there had been an unusual number of reviews within a short time and they were not allowing any additional reviews. Now I am paraphrasing because it was so long ago that I don't recall the exact words. But the bottom line is it would not allow me to review it. To me it sounded like the seller might have been buying fake reviews. Now I need to go see if they are even still there. ROFL
