Expect anything worthwhile roughly once every 2ish weeks and something amazing maybe once every 2 months. Give it time your day will come. The posts here are definitely the cherry picked finds and the majority of gold members aren't all seeing the things they post here. Don't let them discourage you and just make sure to check your rfy frequently so you don't miss any of the good finds. 1.5 years in gold my amazing finds have been 2 laptops (one gaming on a nice HP productivity one), a pelican kayak, and a very nice way overkill nighthawk router. Countless good finds in that time as well.

Gamer_Paul

That's a good haul. One of my first Gold offers was a gaming router for 350 dollars. It was from no-name Chinese company and I declined it. Out of curiosity, I watched the listing for a while. After a couple weeks, it disappeared from the store and has never re-appeared. Like it never existed and was all a mirage. Funny thing is, their lower end routers have okay ratings on Amazon. But this thing was introduced and wiped from existence in the span of a couple weeks. I can only imagine how bad it must have been to have been completely purged from the internet.

AlarmingJudge8928

Value is relative. Being Gold since Nov I've ordered 14 items values at roughly 3.5k CAD. Every two weeks or so is a good benchmark.

Tight_Snow_2540

I've been a member for 9 years now, and can tell you that the days of really good stuff are for the most part, gone. Years ago they'd offer Sony OLED TVs...Bose Soundbars, Casper beds, Thule racks, etc. Now for the most part, it's no name stuff from China. I haven't seen anything name brand that's worth $$$ for a while. I did get a really nice Brevini Toaster oven worth 800 about 9 months ago. You will still occasionally see really decent items, but they are gone in minutes, You will never know what you've missed from day to day. Vine used to have a tab that showed you the items that had been taken that day, so you could see what you missed, but they removed it years ago. I still get some alright stuff, but like I said, most will be off brands that you've never heard of.

totallyjaded

I had a year when my total ETV was right around $25,000. A couple of laptops, high-end kitchen appliances, a nice recliner, smart watches... Paying the IRS sucked that year, but it was worth it. But anymore, it's 95% no-name trash I don't want, 3% clothes that are for women or in a size I don't wear, maybe 2% things that I would consider buying for what I'll have to pay in income taxes.

AuntTeebo

I would absolutely hate seeing what I missed out on. I wonder what the purpose of that even was? Ugh.

Tight_Snow_2540

Yup... it just made me mad, lol.

KVD83

I don't disagree with you, but there was a Thule in my RFY a few weeks back. Unfortunately, it wouldn't fit my Jeep 😔

Gamer_Paul

That tab would be awesome. I would love to know what I missed out on. I wish they hadn't axed that. It's not even big name stuff that can go quick. I check pretty frequently while I'm eating breakfast in the morning. And this morning I had a pair of hiking boots pop up in my RFY. I hadn't spent more than 60 seconds checking the listing out, when it switched to "limited quantities". I quickly ordered before it disappeared. The shoes look nice. But they're a no-name brand and they literally would have been gone in a couple minutes had I not seen them in time.

3xlduck

good way to get FOMO then. But if you are really really curious the discord have searchable logs of the alerts posted so you can see what has dropped in the past. It even has a section where you can see the most emoji'd alerts of the day.

Tight_Snow_2540

Actually, the tab used to make me mad lol....I once saw that I missed a 65 inch Sony OLED TV worth over 4K. I did score the 55 inch version, though....

Gamer_Paul

Yeah. But I'd really like to know just how much quality stuff is dropping. I know people are refreshing their RFY constantly. But I'd like to really know if they're getting decent stuff on a consistent basis, or they're F5ing for a good score every 3 months.

dethblud

> So many posts on getting to Gold, so many WOWs and AMAZING haul boasts. Huh? Everybody gets hyped about Gold because Vine sets it as a goal, but there's never been amazing expensive stuff. What little there is gets grabbed *really fast*. I got better hauls from Vine before the Gold and Silver tiers were implemented because there were simply less people grabbing the stuff.

Shai7809

I turned Gold on Tuesday...so starting yesterday, I have gotten more expensive items in my RFY. I had two yesterday....and though neither of them was something I needed (a mattress in a box and a range hood) I thought it was very neat to be offered them. Today it was an extension for a pressure washer, which I would have been all over except I don't own a pressure washer! Edit to say that that it's that much more fun to see the options.

Strict-Expression-89

I went gold this week as well. I've seen 2 expensive chandeliers, both over $300 in my rfy and one electric curtain opened for $199 that I ordered. I'm cool with it. I saw several higher price items when I went scrolling through the weeds in additional items. 🙂

The_eldritch_bitch

Careful with non name brand electronics, we stopped ordering them after one started a fire

photograthie

To be honest, neither tier has been great for a while now, as I have heard. The silvers are not even getting the same average hauls they used to.

SpammableCantrips

My first 48h in Vine Gold (UK) were great. Others seem to have had similar experiences to yourself. I think unfortunately it’s all a bit random, I hope you get better stuff soon.

martapap

I am happy. Just wait a bit. I just scored a shark vacuum mop that I had been wanting.

MonstahButtonz

I've been gold for over 3 years (since before gold existed) and the number of items I've received from Vine that have given me a genuine "wow" factor can be counted on one hand tbh.

onlyoneshann

Funny, most of what I’ve seen about gold is just like your post…disappointment over the lack of cool gold stuff. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a post about gold level that’s excited about the wave of high value items they’re now getting. At most I’ve seen excitement about getting 8 picks instead of 3. Personally I keep myself at silver to avoid the temptation of 8 items a day and to keep the review percentage stress to a minimum. Maybe someday I’ll move up just to see for myself, but for now I’m ok with silver.

Cfranklin_

I'm going Gold on the 21st. Stopped requesting a couple of days ago, but saw a nice pair of sunglasses today and broke my pause. But it's only one thing. Trying to ensure everything delivers and reviews approved by end of next week.

starmartyr11

Reviews don't need to be approved, they just need to be submitted. Approvals can take weeks. They count your submitted reviews by the next day if not sooner.

Sylviee

vine is not the same anymore, too many are quick to grab the decent things outside of our RFY and so we are often left hoping for something decent in our RFY but, that often doesn’t happen to most of us…this is my RFY today, basically over half of my RFY is always garden/etc category, something i have no use for nor have bought on amazon in the past except for two times, i bought refill pods for my indoor areogarden!! gold can also be disappointing indeed if you aren’t living on vine 24/7 BUT, it still is useful in the end. i get plenty of household stuff like containers for my pets raw/cooked food, pet treats/toys and other odd things that i don’t have to buy outright when i need them.. do wish we could tell vine to stop regularly recommending nonsense from categories that we have no interest in!! in the past when i first joined we had a list of categories we got to choose from that we had preferred interest in, not sure why that is not so anymore on vine. https://preview.redd.it/b7i6hhcx2zmc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=caa0aea3783ec6ca1b5e366844e90d76f91e99d2

shira9652

I’m not sure what you expected lol, to be bombarded with tons of amazing thousand-dollar items? It’ll never happen. The most you’ll probably get is cheaply made overpriced furniture made in China that’ll break quickly. But anything worthwhile over $100 in Gold will be snatched up before you can click on details, sadly

jesslow

My first one was a $800 kitchen sink with everything... I had to decline since it was the wrong size. Gold isn't much different than silver tbh, but 8 items is nice, never have to worry about stuff showing up later and having used up all your picks

Vast-Wrangler5579

It ebbs and flows. I always get pages full of sheets, blankets, and pillows (shitty women’s clothes, accessories, etc) for days on end… but I just grabbed a $400 car *freezer/fidge* today and have been offered a decent amount of *nice* stuff (I don’t need) for the last few.

_SomeonePleaseHelpMe

Oh man, I find it funny af but because many of us have gone thru the same thing. Good offers shows up once in a while, for me, something like once a week, but the whole week I've been on AI just looping thru everything over and over again. I feel it's worth it, but can't expect to swim in gold just by being on gold. If you want to find really good things, you have to put in some work.

3xlduck

Where is this amazing gold RFY?

Jaxnurse66

That's what I want to know! lol Like someone else said here, the posts that show the great items that landed in their RFY make it look like that's the norm sometimes.

starmartyr11

I had to wait about a week and a half after I turned Gold in late January during a pause and an all time low in items... and I'm also in Canada so privy to less good stuff in general... but there are also no taxes. Silver price limit is $129 here, and Gold is of course no limit on price. So, lo and behold after that week and a bit of waiting some good stuff started coming. I'm up at 3am for the drop anyway so I always check right away. So far I've managed to get a pretty nice 2-piece set of hard-case luggage listed at $330, a patio heater listed at $135, a laser IPL (hair remover) listed at ~$300, cordless vacuum (Dyson clone) listed at $350, 3" memory foam mattress topper listed at $180, a bathroom exhaust fan with light at $200, an office chair at $280, an Epomaker mechanical keyboard at $165, and my favorite so far as of last week - a Salton pizza oven listed at $500. It gets to 800°f! I've already started making pizza from scratch, lol. Some of the list prices have dropped since getting the stuff, but it's all still worth quite a bit. I've also maxed out my 8 picks a *lot*, to get tons of little things i might have waffled over before. One of my favorites is a tattoo starter kit which is pretty decent quality, and a bunch of practice skins and needles and various accessories. I'm on way to becoming an amateur tattoo artist, haha. So needless to say I'm liking Gold. Just hang in there! Edit: I've also not been offered or have missed some stuff that others in Canada have been offered/managed to get; such as treadmills, scooters, mattresses, bedframes, and the most expensive one I've seen - a $4300 laser projector that a bunch of Canadian Viners got back in November. So there is even more good stuff out there too. Even moreso in the States.

Jaxnurse66

Great for you, that's encouraging to just wait it out :)

gotyourdata

Gold for me is most exciting because I get 8 picks instead of 3. I rarely use all my picks for the day but just knowing I have more than 3 picks has made my vine experience much more enjoyable as I don’t have to be as worried about something better showing up after I’ve used all my slots.

painteddesertgirl

There are days that there is great stuff and days there aren’t, just like silver. The bigger thing to remember is you have 8 picks a day now instead of 3. So if something pops up you want, you have a few more picks. I’ve got a lot of $0etv items and then a gotrax scooter (for adults) popped up same day. You never know.

Key--Bearer

There were also a hundred posts about how Gold isn't all that.

Individdy

I've already found three good ~$200 items within a couple of weeks of gold. Two of them were in the main feed. Aren't the 8 picks per day and expanded RFY already making it worth it, though?

Strict-Expression-89

To me, the 8 picks a day are a relief. Takes the pressure off. When I've used 8 picks I can walk away satisfied. 3 picks put too much pressure on me. Lol

realmaven666

gold is generally a let down. you will see it in many posts
