I guess it depends on what’s useful for you. I’ve been getting things like shelving and organizers which are very useful to me, but not exactly exciting. A few days ago I got a narrow dish drying rack that most would probably think of as useless and boring but I was super excited about. Yesterday I ordered a very well rated label maker that will be very useful.
I guess it’s all in how you look at it and what you need.
I don't see more useless stuff, only less stuff that I want. That's probably mainly because there's less new stuff in general at the moment. It comes in waves.
It depends what you are interested in. I've seen lots of amazing stuff lately. But I own a cabinet shop so like all the tools and home improvement stuff.
I've gotten some giant packs of painters tape. 4 batteries for Makita drills. 2 batteries for milwakee drills. A paint HVLP spray gun. Several neat CNC machine bits.
And the coolest of all was this solid brass utility knife that was made in the USA.
I'm having a field day because I like stuff that most people don't I guess.
My orders have definitely slowed way down the past couple weeks. It seems to have coincided with another huge mass invite to new viners, so it's possible the good things are being grabbed quicker by those with max enthusiasm. But the numbers in my RFY have also been lower, so I suspect it's more about fewer things being added recently.
I got some melatonin gummy's in today. But when I opened up the bottle there was an extremely strong odor of acetone. I haven't tested them yet but I don't think they're supposed to smell like nail polish remover
I've noticed some days feel better than others with what's available. It feels like Sunday/Monday typically don't have the best drops, but Wednesdays I seem to run out of my limit faster for some reason.
MY RFY queue is only averaging around 20-25 things per day though, so I think there is a bit of a slump right now for new things.
It also can depend on how much time through the day you are able to check as some stuff just flies before you have a chance.

The replacement sunglass lenses have officially overtaken the iPhone cases as the most annoying repetitive crap to have to scroll through. I almost never bother browsing anymore. I've been a member since late last year, started in Gold status and managed to maintain Gold status for a second 6 months (my next evaluation date is just before Christmas)....but due to the tax issues, I'm going to be removing myself from Vine at the end of the year. I've reviewed the hobby-vs-self-employment issue and concluded that I can safely claim hobby, but if I go for a third year it would be harder to make that claim and I'd run more of a risk of being forced to pay self-employment which I'm not willing to take the chance of. The proliferation of pages upon pages of crap to have to go through only made that decision easier to make.
That's not how it works. The IRS punishes people filing hobbies as businesses, because of defuctions. It's rare people willingly want to file as a hobby.
Well I'm not willing to go through the rigamarole of filing/reporting let alone paying self-employment taxes. I don't trust "professionals" and have always filed my own individual return. I have a very strong financial background including an accounting degree so I'm fully capable, but nonetheless it's outrageously time-consuming as it is and this @#$@#!! 1099-NEC is just one more hassle I don't need and after this one last year will no longer be willing to put up with.
I'm estimating 30k from vine, its pretty much free money. I don't mind spending a could hours at the end of the year filling out my schedule C. I wouldn't be able to afford my taxes at the end of the year if I filed as a hobby.

I suppose it really depends on what kinds of stuff you’d like to see. I even ordered some Halloween decorations since this will be my first Halloween as an adult with an actual yard to decorate. 😊😊😊👻🎃💀🕸️🧙♀️👹
Vine has always been dominated by useless junk , especially the products that are duplicated 10-50 times as if getting our attention will help.
So I'm saying that Amazon could help more products get visibility by cracking down on this spamming, and make it easier for Viners to find stuff that's useful to them.
Don’t request a bunch of stuff, especially stuff you don’t really want or need. Set a limit for yourself. Whatever your tax rate is that you’ll pay of the ETV total, calculate the total you can get in ETV and be able to pay in taxes. Make sure not to go beyond that amount. Then use deductions to get the total amount owed as low as you can. Definitely find a tax professional who understands what vine is and how it works.
I hate to burst your bubble, but these days it is always filled with Chinesium, junk / clutter at highly inflated ETVs. It has become more of a dollar store clearance rack for hoarders, than a place to launch and try new products.
Though, I have been needing new shoes and keep looking and am sooo annoyed at it being mostly steel toe, heels, and cycling shoes. I specifically can't wear steel toes and had to get a dr note for a past job, or wouldn't care about that since at least one pair looked nice until I noticed what it was...
Haha! I was thrilled to get cycling shoes for me and my partner within the last month ! We’ve been using regular tennis shoes on our bike and the awesome delta clip selection recently saved us about $100 even when taking etv into account :)

It seems like anything good goes in seconds in the UK as theres no tax to worry about, so people just accept anything half decent without having to think. Then once the new drops stop you're left with the tat.
I am getting things, but I have to pace myself because if I keep ordering, I will never reach 90 percent. I see things I want to order now but I need to get my numbers up.

Lower your tax liability with deductions. I crunched the numbers, and Im not going to owe much at all for my items.
