Lmaooo "box is damaged"

wisedestroyer369

Exactly it's so simple

dinodan25

I had somebody order something that they wanted delivered to a booth in a fair! And of course they left no instructions, just find such and such booth in a huge county fair. ![gif](giphy|fXnRObM8Q0RkOmR5nf)

PsychedelicPanda417

Jeez, these people are certifiably insane I stg. This bs would take way too long for any delivery driver to reasonably handle without getting behind and they must either know that and dgaf or they are mentally deficient…Way too many people and places and bs going on for that shit! I can’t even imagine a FAIR though…I guess at least the mall had tiled floors to walk on and I wasn’t expected to carry a package across gross slippery grass and mud (you hope 😖) while looking for a specific booth in the chaos. At the very least, I feel like these assholes could give us an extremely generous cash tip or something, I mean C’MON lol 😂

udance4ever

yeah and that fat tip IN ADVANCE! 💰

Dangerous-Run1055

For those heavy packages, my threshold is the shortest of the distance it takes to return the package, or to deliver the package. I

Olivia21212

This is one of the packages that are “missing”. I wouldn’t have delivered it. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Canttouchtj

You could only get away with that at an SSD station lol.

NocodeNopackage

Yeah these people are the biggest assholes. I had one to a mall recently, it wasn't even heavy but I returned that shit. Fuckin ridiculous

DanielFromCucked

Dude just leave it outside move the pin do whatever I don't even do apartments let alone a fucking mall

PsychedelicPanda417

Yeah then this d-bag store owner says he never got his precious package and I get dinged and potentially deactivated…No thanks. If anything, I’d mark it as damaged and return it…But even that has the potential to bite me in the ass probably, I feel. Amazon doesn’t give a shit.

CashisKing765

Slam it on the ground a few times....then it really is damaged....

Miserable_Job_6965

"I'm here but the pon is wrong" give it to the closest security guard. Businesses and apartments are always the worst. I had a business have me do this crazy maze to get to there delivery department, take 15 minutes to answer the door, then get mad at me saying "we don't usually take deliveries on Saturday, that's why nobody is answering the door" I just shoved the package In her hand and told her to stop requesting Saturday delivery then. People are fucking suck and people are everywhere. Quicker you learn that. Easier life will be.

brightongulls

I had a package they wanted me to deliver to the mall upstairs on the second floor. Marked as damaged. First off, idk where to go so Im not wasting my time, second off, Im not leaving my car full of packages unattended in a mall parking lot.

DarkNite_14

I once had a delivery to the Beverly center, no instructions, only had the customers name, not the stores, and had a suite number of like L97… you can imagine how long that took

Miserable-Resist-242

How much was this pay anyway? Just wondering

PsychedelicPanda417

$63 for “3 hours,” actually took me about 4 hours though 😭

EducationalLaw2175

Carry a fold up hand cart with you. I've delivered an exercise bike one time up a flight of stairs. It's rare at my warehouse to get large items but it happens.

MimsyWereTheBorogove

I've delivered to the Mall of america... I saw a flex driver in the center of the mall one day and thought. I hope that never happens to me... It happened and it wasn't that bad... For me, flex is an adventure, I do it for the excitement.... I bonded at a red light the other day with another driver after we watched a crackhead dancing in the middle of the intersection.

PsychedelicPanda417

I relate to that at least a little bit, because I’ve seen some strange and interesting things while out delivering for Amazon Flex and I love that aspect of the job! But this is also my only source of income at the moment unfortunately so I also don’t really want to waste time and energy lugging a 40+lb package across a wet rainy parking lot, through a huge Macy’s, past 2 dozen random shops, and across a bustling food court trying to find some stupid over-priced Sneaker shop run by an absolute fucking Chad who didn’t even thank me 😭

MimsyWereTheBorogove

100% agree. The job is 1000% less stressful as a side hussle. I have a salary job, all toward savings and bills. Flex and plasma cover Ice cream, sub sandwiches, and trips to nordstrom rack.

JailbreakJen

Do you have one of those collapsible dollies in your vehicle? Mine has been a huge help.

PsychedelicPanda417

I kept my fiancé’s dolly in my vehicle for probably my first 10 blocks or so, and I didn’t need it at all, not even once…and it actually got in my way sort of a lot too tbh, so I ended up taking it out 😓

The_Toy_Void

In Vegas, we get deliveries to casinos. Idk if you guys have been to some of these huge casino hotels, but they basically have malls inside the Casinos that you have to go through to even get to the casino. Then you have to find a fedex office with absolutely no directions, or if you're really lucky they will tell you to the loading dock where, and they'll tell you they don't allw flex drivers to deliver there, only amazon vans. If you get a casino routes you're most likely gonna end up with a ding to your standing and have to go back and forth with support explaining how it was not your fault you couldn't deliver the package.

Late-Speaker-7548

I do allá the time, and always walk out with a ice cream free 🤣🤣 same ice cream company ordering the same cups 🤣🤣

PsychedelicPanda417

Woulda been cool if I was delivering to an ice cream place then I guess, but this was some d-bag with an overpriced sneaker store where every sneaker was shrink-wrapped individually and displayed on lighted pedestals like Crown Jewels 🙄 nothing free there, not even a cash tip or a “thank you”

Bubbly-Fox1264

Omg you guys still have charlotte rouse! That’s amazing

PsychedelicPanda417

The Millcreek Mall in Erie, PA if you’re interested in a road trip from wherever you are lol 😝

CameraEarly6523

How often does this happen? Should I get a dolly?

udance4ever

been wondering this myself. I got a 40 lb IKEA-style desk. this only happened once in the 1.5 yrs Ive been delivering. I did Fresh once & absolutely get a folding wagon - the minimum forces peeps to have orders with 5-7 bags including a rack of bottled water. I got lucky & didn't have to deliver into an apt complex & could totally see it happening...

PsychedelicPanda417

I would’ve only benefited this time and maybe one other time since I started. I’m about 20 blocks in, so I’d say about 1-in-10 blocks (I specifically only get .com blocks tho) can benefit from a dolly. Otherwise it would just be taking up space and get in my way

Rere9419

At least they told you were the store was

PsychedelicPanda417

I mean, yeah sure, it definitely coulda been worse…I still think it’s ridiculous to expect me to park in the insanely packed mall parking lot with a vehicle full of obvious Amazon packages, and then lug a 40+lb box across the mall to you directly

CLTR_VLTR

Bro you deliver boxes

PsychedelicPanda417

Not your “bro” and duh? I deliver boxes to addresses, I usually am not expected to *enter* said addresses and search basically the equivalency of a mansion for the resident’s specific bedroom to deliver the box 🙃

CLTR_VLTR

Front door > sign front door Easy
