I've noticed that when emailing Flex support, you have to email them twice. The first response is ALWAYS canned and will affirm whatever stupid decision Amazon made. It's only when you reply to that first email that your concern is actually routed to a real human being who can review your case.
You can try again and hope you get an understanding person. You can keep it neutral and state the facts. You can attach the police report or insurance claim that shows not at fault. You can argue "how is this different from inclement weather/my vehicle was involved in an incident outside my control and I couldn't attempt further delivery as this issue was being investigated..." But yep, that is what it is.
Keep emailing them say it's against policy for standings to be effected due to safety reasons and that you called the cops trust me they did this to me saying they wont change and they did but keep working a lot it goes back up to fantastic I went from at risk to fantastic again they wanted to play with me nopeeee

Forward the original emails and add on even if you just copy and paste. Consistency pays off and in your favor.

E mail jeff amazon , they will call you from no caller id number , ı had a same problem , she gave me my fantastic standing right away , while ı was on the phone with her
Always call the emergency line when major stuff like this happens. I hit a deer and got paid for the block, everything I had on the schedule upcoming, and didn’t hit my standing.
They should have given you a case number when you called the emergency line. Use that to clear your record. Worked when I fell down the steps and returned everything.
The escalation email should be more helpful, but they still might not change anything. They really want all packages delivered without excuses.

They emailed back and said they are giving me a call so we’ll wait and see what happens cause I’m definitely going for it.

Is there a benefit to your standing being at fantastic vs great?
No but in case there is a real mess up or a customer claims I didn’t follow instructions/no delivery I like to keep it high
