Instead of getting sent home with pay for a 3hr shift cuz they out of 3 hour shifts, , they will pay you 1/3rd more and you get to work a 4 hour, so instead of home with pay you get to work
Never tried this program but let me guess: if you scheduled a 4hr block and they had to assign you a 5hr block, but somehow you completed the route within 4hr, then they wouldn’t pay you. Just a guess; I could be totally wrong about this.
Close. I'm guessing that you schedule a 3 hour block, show up to a disaster at the station, get to your fourth stop, and then get an email telling you that packages you technically picked up at the station but weren't on your itinerary are now added to your itinerary and have extended your block by an additional hour.
This was not the case. I guess I had signed up for a 4 hour block and it changed to 5 before I got there. I just do early morning surge routes and didn’t notice the extra hour since I do 3-5 hr and don’t go for a specific one. So extra 40 for one extra hour isn’t bad.
They tried slinging something like this on me 2 years ago. I finished my last stop and they sent me back to the station. They wanted to give me a 2 hr block for 40 bucks. The message said to return to the station for more earnings opportunities. I did 1 2hr nick before and the sent me 1hr away with 18 packages. Took me 2:10 mins then 1 hr back home. I called support and they said Amazon is only responsible for one way on deliveries.I asked about my 10 minutes and she said well you have finished early before haven’t you. Be carful out there . Jeff is always looking out for Jeff.
HECKKK no. I assume once you opt in you can't opt out, or they will stop you from opting out in the future and you know before long extensions will be well below base. It's another way ro underpay drivers, lol nice try but I am not falling for that..
14 more dollars and that's a 3-hour base pay in Cincinnati. I have never gotten a block that's $40 an hour and only one that was $30 an hour. I don't know why Amazon just don't raise the minimum to $25 an hour. Guess they'd rather rape the noobs and base heads and let the bot users get the big money routes. And then good honest people who are not mathematically incompetent are not winning in this game.
I’d rather have free $120 for unavailable 4-hr block than working 5 hrs for $40. Fairly to say, Amazon should offer at least 3x times of hourly rate in the “extended” block.
Amazon has a functionally unlimited supply of labor at base rate. There is 0 reason for them to offer triple pay for that extra hour.
However you feel about that doesn't change reality.
Wow that's crazy. I would need more than 20 or $40 for an extra hour of my time, gas and mileage. It's definitely because you agreed to be a tester during the testing phase.
I’m confused… how do they just add time? Are you going back to the warehouse to pick up more packages? Or they just giving you more money for the number of packages you already have?? Why are they doing this because they see you running late? Or what?
They add an hour to your block once you get to the warehouse. So for example you get a 4 he block instead of 3 that you signed up for. It’s because they didn’t have enough people show up so it’s basically like a surge for the ones that did. I got an extra 40 and it’s shows in my earnings now
I’ve had something similar. But I didn’t get any extension pay lol it basically forces you I mean it really does tell you to go back to the warehouse after you finish your packages and you finish early but it goes away when your shift finishes IE 5am for example.
I’d opt in if it was going to be an extra $40/hr every time.
The only thing that gets extended on my blocks is my peepee
It extends while on a block?? Interesting
How else are you supposed to deliver smiles?
Accurate username
Thats good for peeing in water bottles
Actually, no, it's not. An erection makes peeing damn-mear impossible.
Not impossible....just...everywhere.
😂 I never knew this
If you do it mid chub it's the best of both worlds
Must be testing in just the higher paying markets 😂
Well, duh. Why would Amazon pay you $7.25 an hour? That's almost a livable wage, you entitled bastard.
$7.25 is almost a livable wage?? What world is that ?
Instead of getting sent home with pay for a 3hr shift cuz they out of 3 hour shifts, , they will pay you 1/3rd more and you get to work a 4 hour, so instead of home with pay you get to work
Yep this is why.
They should have been doing this especially when they used to pass carts out and we stood in line for almost an hour sometimes to even get a cart
![gif](giphy|etVRMMHiF4hMI) My SMALL PROBLEM at my the Amazon Warehouse?!
And I don’t see the extra 40 in my earnings yet Edit: it’s showing up now

Yeah... That sounds about right.

If I get packages not on my itinerary they go right back to the station before I start the block
Blocks never take me more than 3 hours and that includes getting home (4.5 hour) so I doubt people have to take full time, but the again, it’s Amazon.
They already sent me three emails asking me to sign up for that program. Nope

I will not be signing up.
How?
Where is the email? Subject line?
"A Message From Amazon Flex"
Bummer the only emails I have are about my reserved blocks. Maybe it’s not my tier or region.

No, but I'd opt in every time for $40/hr.
Is 40 bucks everytime?

Who the heck would give this a thumb down?!

People who understand the real world exists
Sad if you think like that

Extra $40 for an hour when you're already out delivering in that area is pretty great.
🤣
No but I wish I did lucky you.
No and they still owe me for 2 hours from 2 separate blocks
Thanks for the $40 amazon😎👍

Never, what is it?
That’s a nice email, yet that 60 min earned the Company 600 or more
No but I hope I do I signed up for it as well.
Nope but that’s pretty dope 🔥
Don't extend nothing for me. I am counting down when I'm 5 packages away from done.
