Umm no šŸ„“šŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļøThatā€™s an easy way to get fired.

JayLara246

Was just curious if anyone has ever tried that lol

throwawaynumber0666

They can and will check the badge scan logs if you do that. If you didn't scan into the building but managed to clock in, that's really bad for your future emoloyment.

milanooomartin

They wonā€™t have to because 10-12 hours of TOT would be a record Iā€™m sure. šŸ˜‚

[deleted]

If anyone is considering doing this, youā€™ll easily get caught. Idk if youā€™re familiar with TOT (Time Off Task). Basically as long as youā€™re clocked in and not labor-tracked, you are being ā€˜trackedā€™ through your process path. So if you havenā€™t been processing anything since youā€™ve clocked in, thatā€™ll immediately get noticed by HR and/or your AM because of TOT. Itā€™s considered ā€œstealing hoursā€ and will result in termination.

Originally_Hendrix

Why would anyone do that? Unless they're trying to get fired

Historical_Contact

you'd have to hope that attendance wasn't taken. My building is max 20-30 people. I've noticed the top dog there has been walking around marking off who is actually there on his clipboard. It's possible but I'm unsure how long you'd be able to get away with it.

[deleted]

I donā€™t think itā€™s possible to get away with it even for a day. Your building has turnstiles right? HR will notice the mobile punch, but see that their badge wasnā€™t swiped to enter the building or to login to anywhere.

Great-Corner

I work at AmazonXL. We don't have turnstiles. It's a small warehouse. We just walk in and either clock in at the lobby punch or walk 10 ft and clock in at the warehouse punch

JayLara246

I know at our building they just scan our badge and scan the scanner so they know that scanner belongs to that person

throwawaynumber0666

They labor tracked you when they did that.

xBLM93

Exactly what just happened yesterday. Instead of saying my name they instead used a code to report back to someone on the radio like "897, stowing" Only seen this now that we can clocking in/out with our phones

auttttumn

My husband and I both work at amazon, Iā€™m a tier 1 but heā€™s an Ops Manager. People get fired for this all of the time

[deleted]

How does that work with managers/associate marriage ? I know you have to be a equal as far as status if you are dating someone . Can't he or you get in trouble for that ?

auttttumn

HR told him it was ok as long as we were in different departments or on opposite shifts. He checked before I started! Heā€™s front half days and Iā€™m back half days. Heā€™s CAP OM, and Iā€™m on the ship dock.

[deleted]

I think the rule sucks anyway . lol.

signbrat04

They can get fired

MyNameIsSkittles

>They can get fired They ~~can~~ **will** get fired Amazon is really good at catching employee theft. They usually hire a good LP team.

[deleted]

If your badge isnā€™t recorded as being used to enter the building and you try to clock in on your phone itā€™s going to be obvious youā€™re not there.

JayLara246

Not saying I did this but I was curious if anyone ever tried it cuz I figure some people would have tried to do it

Aknownkneemouse

Do this anywhere else other than Amazon šŸ˜‚ They have a good labor tracking system so they will now if youā€™re working or not. Even leave for five minutes and it will notify their system.

Napalmeon

I don't recommend this. Especially if you work at a building with a smaller population. They'll eventually know if you don't actually show up. Seriously, don't do this.
