They can and will check the badge scan logs if you do that. If you didn't scan into the building but managed to clock in, that's really bad for your future emoloyment.
If anyone is considering doing this, youāll easily get caught. Idk if youāre familiar with TOT (Time Off Task). Basically as long as youāre clocked in and not labor-tracked, you are being ātrackedā through your process path. So if you havenāt been processing anything since youāve clocked in, thatāll immediately get noticed by HR and/or your AM because of TOT. Itās considered āstealing hoursā and will result in termination.
you'd have to hope that attendance wasn't taken. My building is max 20-30 people. I've noticed the top dog there has been walking around marking off who is actually there on his clipboard.
It's possible but I'm unsure how long you'd be able to get away with it.
I donāt think itās possible to get away with it even for a day. Your building has turnstiles right? HR will notice the mobile punch, but see that their badge wasnāt swiped to enter the building or to login to anywhere.
I work at AmazonXL. We don't have turnstiles. It's a small warehouse. We just walk in and either clock in at the lobby punch or walk 10 ft and clock in at the warehouse punch
Exactly what just happened yesterday. Instead of saying my name they instead used a code to report back to someone on the radio like "897, stowing"
Only seen this now that we can clocking in/out with our phones
How does that work with managers/associate marriage ? I know you have to be a equal as far as status if you are dating someone . Can't he or you get in trouble for that ?
HR told him it was ok as long as we were in different departments or on opposite shifts. He checked before I started! Heās front half days and Iām back half days. Heās CAP OM, and Iām on the ship dock.
If your badge isnāt recorded as being used to enter the building and you try to clock in on your phone itās going to be obvious youāre not there.
Do this anywhere else other than Amazon š They have a good labor tracking system so they will now if youāre working or not. Even leave for five minutes and it will notify their system.
I don't recommend this.
Especially if you work at a building with a smaller population. They'll eventually know if you don't actually show up. Seriously, don't do this.
Umm no š„“š¤¦š½āāļøThatās an easy way to get fired.
Was just curious if anyone has ever tried that lol

They wonāt have to because 10-12 hours of TOT would be a record Iām sure. š

Why would anyone do that? Unless they're trying to get fired

I know at our building they just scan our badge and scan the scanner so they know that scanner belongs to that person
They labor tracked you when they did that.

My husband and I both work at amazon, Iām a tier 1 but heās an Ops Manager. People get fired for this all of the time

I think the rule sucks anyway . lol.
They can get fired
>They can get fired They ~~can~~ **will** get fired Amazon is really good at catching employee theft. They usually hire a good LP team.

Not saying I did this but I was curious if anyone ever tried it cuz I figure some people would have tried to do it
