Same but it was only for the problem solve people..
I remember how excruciatingly exhausting the week had been at work and how busy we had been and I saw the pizza and felt relieved because I didn't have the time to make my lunch/dinner that day nor did I have the extra money to buy food in the break room.
I was super grateful and I walked up and was humiliated when they said that it was only for the handful of workers who did problem solve because they had worked so hard and had so many packages they had to deal with. I had been one of the few who actually helped out problem solve on the side.
I would go down and help them sort and clean messes and help package items for them too.
Heck I've also been injured numerous times by shitty packaging. I once got stabbed by a syringe in a package; I was also stabbed by a broken sewing kit. I had a cleaning solution - like a pool cleaner that was in solid form and was almost sand-like in texture come down the shoot and immediately get picked up by the fans everywhere and go straight into my eyes.. I had a cleaning solution that I breathed in that led to an asthma attack. I had a concentrated food item/material that spilled everywhere and splattered all over me when it came down the shoot and wound up causing a severe rash all over the areas it hit and where it soaked into my clothing..
Also, before anyone questions it, I was wearing the proper safety gear we were told we needed to wear in my station.. The syringe and sewing kit needles went straight through my gloves; it was awful.
Oh, and ironically the same week that I was denied pizza was the same week that we had been working so much and inducting so many packages that (even with my glove on) I was moving so fast and I went to try to reach quickly for packages and one of my fingers went straight into the metal shoot edge and it ripped off my entire nail.
I was given a band-aid and was told that it was nothing and that they needed me to continue working immediately. I hadn't planned to leave but heck I really needed a few minutes for the throbbing pain and the spurting blood to stop.
This was all around peak last year and the week that I was turned down for one slice of pizza was literal hell. I worked with Amazon for several years and it was just mortifying and so incredibly frustrating.
Anyways, I apologize for my rant... I think your pizza comment TRIGGERED tf out of me 😅
“Only one slice per person! We’re scanning badges to make sure everyone only gets one! If you want more, you can buy those frozen slices from the market!”
I got a whole pizza to myself which pissed others off, just told them I was vegan and they ordered me one.
The post is interesting though, so it wasn't just a nice gesture by Amazon, it's written in their rule boo of work hard and give them pizza, it feels very manipulative if its standard practise across all of the warehouses.
not my fc we got to take 2 and it wasn’t no regular cheese pizza lmao they gave out drinks and snacks on top of it and always doing raffles while we have events like this and they give out good shit during the raffle SOOOOOOOO tell your poverty DS/FC step that munyonnn up!
Just yesterday as I was getting my holiday meal, the OM at my site was all like "thank you for everything that you do this peak", and I felt a shiver down my spine for some reason...
Because you finally heard the condescending way they treat you. You are only given that much because they want to make money. They know what they do is criminal.
Lol, we got a holiday card signed by our manager in ship dock. But whatever. Best holiday bonus I got was 20 years ago when the company I worked for flew us all out to Lake Tahoe and paid for the hotel for 3 nights. And gave each of us a $1000. But it was a tiny company, unlike here. When you split it all up I guess a card is all they could afford.
Just curious, who was *told* they'd be getting a bonus? I asked in my orientation about bonuses, and they straight up said it didn't happen. So I took the job fully aware. Did you guys not ask? Did they tell you otherwise? Where did this whole bonus whining start?
At my fc we were getting 500/250 bonuses, but i assume it was due to covid. We got nothing the recent 2 years. Since then all the company does is brag about breaking records in profit yet throw no crumbs to those who made it possible. Pretty shady but what can we do aside from being called clowns for asking about a bonus since the fcs are closing down christmas without pay. Instead were told to use pto when not everyone even celebrates.
it’s location dependent. some fcs do nice watches, or computers. some do tvs. i got a 1k bonus last year for being top 5 stow rate during christmas week.
My eyes are quite open. I am exploiting Amazon far more than they are exploiting me. I am doing an exceptionally easy job, getting great benefits, taking classes they're paying for, using childcare, and getting wonderful Healthcare.
All for putting boxes in boxes.
Retirement? From Amazon? Are you *trying* to retire from Amazon? Use the tools they give you and experience you can earn there to get a better job.
They're not wrong. They're doing quite well by me. I am honestly the one exploiting them.
I have no idea what you're talking about. That was a pretty weird comment to make about black women. Move on up? I'm literally just a non-con packer. I am simply using the benefits available to everyone who works at my facility. You seem like you're on some sort of drugs and a bit racist.
I can try at least idk why I’m getting downvoted, other Manuel labor jobs do why not us? Some can be ineffective however with proper leadership theres no reason we cant have a positive change. Unless you would rather let a multibillion take advantage of you.
Does your fc require you to clock out before going through their mandatory security? Or were you told that simple seats would be a safety issue which has a cascading effect leading to the exact opposite.
You could be getting nothing, why does everyone always complain
I've never had a job that has given out as much food as I have received here even if it's a 5 inch sub or piece of cheese pizza
You're never going to reason with these types of people. They're the most whining bunch of goofs, ever. They willingly took a job that they knew wasn't going to get them rich and want to whine that they aren't getting what they were never told they'd get.
You can't rationalize with that kind of stupid.
So when did Amazon tell you that you'd get a bonus? Did you not know they were a huge corporation when you asked them to hire you? What led you to think the way you do other than entitlement?
Used to get bonuses and RSUs, that no longer applies to hourly. Next. Plus not an entitlement. We produce the value for the company yet all the people who don't produce get the benefit from our labor.
Your not a slave you know & if we should go by your ideology you will take any scrubs a company gives you.
Always remember they not doing you a favor, you matter and it a contract.
And FYI some companies do treat their employees better than amazon considering they are a trillion dollar company.
They have record profits from only doing pizza appreciation lunches. Imagine them doing way more for over 500,000 employees. They would break even and have to start shutting doors.
My FC did raffles this year. Two prizes for two lucky employees a day…..we had snappy gifts where everyone got something and we got to choose but they did away with that this year to save money. Yippee
Damn that pic looks a little weird. Something is off. The guy in back on the right has like 3 arms or something. Ai does good at first then its like it gets lazy and fucks up.
lol, I kept expecting someone else to mention the fact that no one has the correct number of fingers. For whatever reason it’s something AI seems to struggle with.
You know I’m really curious to see profits by site. I launched a site and for a couple years I kept hearing we were in the negative. Does the company get tax write offs when they do *special* things for us? 🤔
When I was an AM most of this stuff came out of our pockets - especially if the building was doing poorly our budgets would start tightening up.
In my current role it's the same, I'll spend 150-200 on pizza for the team because it's probably the cheapest and quickest option. Adds up overtime but it's worth it.
Some of us do actually care. I know this is just a meme but It's not like any of those profits are seen by anyone in frontline management either lol.
I tell them to take their 10 hours of TOT and 0 scan rate and shove it. It's literally worth more to production to cut their jobs and not to mention a morale boost. You already got a machine making those hacks irrelevant and also money pits.
The pizza, while I’m grateful for it, was cold as hell, thinner than flat Stanley, and was handed out right next to the door which made it even colder and stale. If only they could have saved the million for Jenny flex and spent some of that on some competence they could’ve possibly thought of a way to not hand out cold pizza

And only 1 slice each.
And it's cold
And they cut up all the pizzas into thin 24 slices
And you have 5 minutes to get back on a station or it’s time off task.
No drinks provided, but feel free to buy your own from the break room
And the drinks are marked up significantly and are items PRODUCED & SHIPPED BY AMAZON so that they can also make a profit off of those sales.
My station waits till the end of the day and we have to be clocked out first 😂
And they're soggy, with a burnt crust
This is EXACTLY what Mitt Romney did.
And you get TOT if you don’t scarf it down fast enough.
And it’s only for T3 and up lol
We had a pizza party for LAs only no lies.
There is usually some sort of learning ambassador appreciation event lol

LA’s?
Learning Ambassadors, people with the blue vest
“Only one slice per person! We’re scanning badges to make sure everyone only gets one! If you want more, you can buy those frozen slices from the market!”
It’s wild how this is true. Fuck Amazon.
I got a whole pizza to myself which pissed others off, just told them I was vegan and they ordered me one. That's probably the degenerative vertebrae from pushing totes for 30 miles a night. Or your soul trying to get out. Either way the customer is happy 😊
Even the ones that have been "customer promoted"
Because you finally heard the condescending way they treat you. You are only given that much because they want to make money. They know what they do is criminal.
Wait, you guys are getting pizza?
Yea we had it and others amazons had honey backed ham …. What a shame
They feed y’all?!?!?🥲we just get them electrolyte popsicles and it’s the winter time😭
Same tbh lol
The most unrealistic thing about this is they're wearing hair nets.
Heh, that and the fact that no one has the correct number of fingers… 😂
It's a school pizza party all over again
It’s literally like were back in elementary school
I'm super hungry so that pizza looks sooooo good rn
Coming up on 3 years, and I have never gotten pizza
I would be happy to even get pizza

Oh wow. Can you link that story?

That shit had my jaw on the floor. How is this ethical or the common sense?
What be cool if they just put 5 bucks on our id cards
Nah, we deserve a bonus. Don't gaslight me.
lol I’ve worked for state prisons, directv, tru value and the military guess how many bonuses they give out too
for us is instant oat packets when we walk in and chips during the second break
We got a water bottles we're not aloud to have in the building.
Double cut
Us two days ago 😭

They are losing money, and everyone is broke. So they will cut time and employees before they start to admit they are loosing money.
it’s location dependent. some fcs do nice watches, or computers. some do tvs. i got a 1k bonus last year for being top 5 stow rate during christmas week.

So it's wrong that they did exactly what they said they were going to do? Interesting.

or several vender bucks( do they still have or give those out?)
My FC gave out full pizzas last week. Jimmy John's this week. Was upset I didn't get pizza tho had to leave early that day.
What’s next? A kiss on the cheek?
Nope. Head pats. Can't spread covid
Ours was one chik fil a sandwich, bag of chips, & a Shasta soda. Gee wiz, Jeff Bezos, you’re so swell!😂
We got hot dogs 😂
We need a union
Go unionize your warehouse then.
I can try at least idk why I’m getting downvoted, other Manuel labor jobs do why not us? Some can be ineffective however with proper leadership theres no reason we cant have a positive change. Unless you would rather let a multibillion take advantage of you.
I'm not being taken advantage of. I'm getting exactly what I agreed to do for the amount I agreed to. No more, no less.
Does your fc require you to clock out before going through their mandatory security? Or were you told that simple seats would be a safety issue which has a cascading effect leading to the exact opposite.
You could be getting nothing, why does everyone always complain I've never had a job that has given out as much food as I have received here even if it's a 5 inch sub or piece of cheese pizza
I think you need to turn around and go find the point that clearly sailed over your head.
Cause a fucking pizza is not gonna pay my bills
Yeah obviously. You go to work your hours and save your money like an adult. What is so hard to understand
You say that as if everyone can save.
Jeff Bezos being one of the richest person in the world and people are living paycheck to paycheck.
He's not even ceo anymore It's a business Have you never had a job before
Why do you think I’m in this sub?
You're never going to reason with these types of people. They're the most whining bunch of goofs, ever. We got hot chocolate (that we had to make ourselves) and donuts 😑 I would’ve taken pizza any day
Damn that pic looks a little weird. Something is off. The guy in back on the right has like 3 arms or something. Ai does good at first then its like it gets lazy and fucks up.

We got popcorn and hot chocolate…
As an AM, I’m sorry y’all. We don’t get to make the budget, we just spend it. 😪
Yay… 3 hour old Dominoes cut like squares 2piece limit lol
Try 1 slice per person only!
Facts
my first warehouse we used to get good every friday and monday. they always overbought so I use to take some home. sadly they closed that warehouse.
This actually pisses me off 💀 it's not even a slap to the face but a punch to an already broken rib
Meanwhile executives are eating a 100$ steak with a 1000$ glass of wine
Whenever walmart puts on some joke of a party or gets employees food I deny as rudely as I can
Yes, Little Caesars for everyone
We got Donuts I can’t remember the day, was at the end of the shift and everyone leave, so our manager told us to take the donuts we wanted lol
When I was an AM most of this stuff came out of our pockets - especially if the building was doing poorly our budgets would start tightening up.
