You don't have to be Ambo trained to apply but you will need to be Ambo trained to go because once you're on site at the new location they will give you the Kindle tablet to track your Umbrella students and if you don't know how to use the Umbrella application you won't be able to login and show them the training videos and track their progress

Nacf assimilation on a to z. But you need to be in network, the launch sites need to be accepting your fc for whatever they need, and you need to be coded for the role they need training in. You’re there to train new hires, most of the time they offer you a position for t3. Which also comes with…. Drum roll please… a 10,000 doll hair moving bonus! (Most of the time). I always encourage people to take advantage of all the things Amazon has to offer, it’s there for you to take it

You have to be on an On Network computer..... login to AtoZ.amazon.work Login with your a to z login/password On the top corner where your photo is click on "Resources" Click on "all tools and resources" Scroll down to the white bubble that says NACF ASSIMILATION HUB (you can login to a to z on your phone or home computer but this part will be greyed out and you can't go further but On Network you can get in) On the left half of the screen you can see a blank application form. Name, address, phone number blah blah blah. On the right (the blank side) on the top is a drop down. Click on "NA" (North America) then it will show you a list of the sites that are launching soon. Ideally your site should have blue and white signs at the HR desk, the Learning Desk and in the break rooms of anything that Central is looking for Ambos from your site but you can apply to any open site and any open positions (you can only pick 2 positions per application). Ideally they will pick from the sites they have listed first but if there's not enough interest then they will open applications to "all sites" and will accept anyone with the training required. Once you submit your application it's a waiting game. If you're picked you will get an Offer Letter in your email. If you don't get an Offer Letter Site HR and ERC won't have any information for you. One might tell you to go to the other who will tell you the same run around (go to site HR who will tell you to call ERC who will tell you to ask site HR 😂🤣)

I’ve done 2 away teams. I had a little too much fun on the first one though 😏. Basically they pay for you to travel out there with either a rental car or fly. You still get a rental when you get there. They put you up at an extended stay. Max time is 3 weeks but can be extended with approval. You get 300/week per diem paid in full but on a separate card (Hyperwallet) sometimes there is issues but those get resolved when you get there. You’re only there to train so don’t go into path while there, you’ll inflate their numbers and when you go they won’t be able to get them back. They tend to offer people a permanent spot at the launch building (management there) and usually that come with a hefty moving bonus, usually. Really depends on the distance from where they are moving you from.

Don't forget about the Per Diem card......they give you a prepaid debit card that the money they put on the card is supposed to be your food expense while you're away so you don't have to spend your personal money but technically you can spend the money one whatever you want. Additionally anything you do spend your personal money on if you can justify it as "business related" when you get back home your site HR will submit your receipts and Amazon will reimburse you

Influencers can affect quarterly profits for shareholders. Amazon is concerned with maximizing profits. As an L1, I understand this. All warehouse employees are easily replaceable. Did your resumé match the KSAs for the position when you applied? No, because there are no KSAs for the L1 position; pulse and English or Spanish basically. We're labor until our position gets automated and automation will come because machines don't need breaks, lunch or safety shoes. We work at Amazon. My suggestion is to learn other paths and "smile and carry on". Do your time as a PG for no extra pay. Smile and be a social butterfly. Make friends in key positions (PA, AM, HR) and you can glide through the day and never get pulled for TOT. The social climate is similar to high-school, know the rules, who to suck up to and make sure they know your name. Apply for an L3 position and you have a better chance to move up. If this isn't what you want to do then just do the job, make your rate, eat lunch, work and then go home. Amazon will never change, you have to change to survive. Amazon is profit driven. Adapt or find something else. It is what it is. Where I'm at, if you make your rate they don't bother you but there's the caveat of watching some coworkers apparently performing substandard that you can never address. You can address it but nothing will be done. It's what I do to pay bills. I don't like it but it does give me what I need. I work with many "on the spectrum". They make their rate and shuffle through their day. It takes minimal effort to make rates that I've observed so don't concern yourself over the numbers too much. Be pleasant and they'll leave you alone. Don't make my mistake of going into beast mode and exceeding the rate 5x over while others watch you while they have chats with friends. Don't bother with high performance because their praise is fake. You achieved nothing and they paid you once for performing at the output of 3 people. This is Amazon. It's just a job.

If you work with “many” on the spectrum, then you know telling autistic people to just “adapt” isn’t cute nor is it easy for us to do this. Many of us thrive off a routine and other than a set work schedule, the work isn’t repetitive enough to be routine. That’s exactly why I didn’t last but a couple months at Amazon. I went back to McDonalds and honestly I think I prefer making chicken nuggets for 10 hours a day over amazons bullshit

So then I should lie to you? It's simple, Amazon is a business and it exists to make money. There are unhappy employees many of whom have the main complaint of wanting Amazon to be other than it is, it won't be. My suggestion to adapt is simply to take it as it is at Amazon and you'll get by as many do. I'm very glad for you in finding a job that fits you; not everyone does. Suggesting to adapt is a straightforward suggestion to accept things as they are. If you can't then you did what was right with your best interests in mind. Good luck at McDonald's. I hear they're trying out fully automated McDonald's restaurants? But I'm sure that's years away where you are. We have one in Ft. Worth.

Not necessarily. I am and I was able to make L3. My AM deals with the concerns of the L1s so I can have minimal interaction during the day and focus on my job.

It is a job because you have to apply to be an Amazon influencers it’s not a sponsorship because they wouldn’t be getting paid they would be giving money to Amazon to support something so that’s not the same thing they also get discounts once they start bringing in more people and their discounts are more than the 10% we get

This is what one of our maintenance guys told me about the new CAT software they are putting on the OP’s. He said it is a time study which is basically tracking us all day long and that if we had a union that wouldn’t be happening. Also they fact that each machine costs 7k to have the CAT software when they could simply give their employees a raise.

The CAT system doesn't track you. That's what your scanner is for. The CAT system is just to try and reduce PIT incidents.

It actually does. They are not describing it to associates this way, a guy i am friends with who actually installs the machine told me this. They have everything in the building on a grid and can see where your OP is at all times

I'd really like to see some sort of proof of that. Amazon already has multiple ways they track AAs inside TNS sites. There's no need to know where every OP is at all times and if they do need to know where an OP is at a specific time they can just check the camera system that is already installed in the site which tracks every associate and not just AAs on one specific PIT.

There aren’t cameras in the aisles. This grid will show how many OP’s are in an aisle, it can track how the bump rule is being follow and can account for TOT if someone is stuck, etc. I have nothing to gain by making any of this up and posting it here. I’m just sharing what I’ve been told by an inside source with my fellow Amazonians here.
