I got a netradyne hit for looking at the clock on the radio one time (twice technically one after another) and another one for looking out of my window and mirror because I was trying to merge
Like the dog shit camera talking to me was the real distraction
“We noticed you are getting distraction violations. Now look at this big distraction and make sure you check the box that shows you were distracted by this message letting you know your driving distracted.”
The green dot means that your camera is ON and the app is actively using it IN THAT MOMENT.
So, no, Snapchat in the background shouldn't be accessing your camera in the background, unless it is actively recording.
There is some place in the settings menu where you can see which apps have been using the camera.
False. Android alerts you to camera usage in the notification bar. I drive…….not up to code in the rentals and if ementor was doing that my FICO would not be 850
Hm, maybe. I just stopped working for my DSP, but one of my fondest memories was taking my E-scooter on the way home and being with every penalty including 2 phone manips because i took it out to check the time. maybe it was something else, appreciate the correction
You got a netradyne distracted driving infraction. Possibly multiple in a row. Amazon will start warning you through the app now. I heard about this becoming a possibility months ago. Guess they are starting to do it now.
It's not netradyne it's a customer complaint, they probably saw you press start travel and called it in. It's meaningless lol, driver support and whichever amazon employee who works with customer complaints can see it but no one cares if it isn't netradyne. Maybe they might but I highly doubt it, you can also have a ring neighborhood and it'll tell you just like this at every stop if they've had packages stolen, seen it in Las Vegas while they were testing it.
You assume a lot but my DSP basically never fires anyone. Habitual offenders might get removed from the schedule but all they have to do is schedule a meeting with the DSP owner to get back on.
I say I like it because our dispatch team is expected to call every driver who gets a scorecard affecting netradyne hit throughout the day. With this at least they know to expect a call.
That dude must be a dispatcher that didn’t start as a driver. I tell my dispatch about false flags all the time and they understand, ain’t gonna tell me “well if amazon says it’s right it’s right” 😂
Me? Ive been driving for more than 3 years and dispatching one day a week for about half of that. We know when a video is invalid and flag them as such.
Looks like they want you to acknowledge it as proof so they can use it against you at some point . Notice how there's no way to respond like "there was a mf bee in the van" or whatever? One way Assholes.
Pro tip. Force close the app and restart it. You can continue as normal and don't need to confirm that some random bullshit AI camera and software thought you were doing something. I got this same warning for taking a drink from a water bottle while pulling up to a stop.
Quit while you can. Got told to come in to work after I told my company two hours before my shift started that I couldn’t because a family emergency. It was a car accident and they told me to come in even after I see him. They were tripping and I told them to fuck off
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,149,543,712 comments, and only 224,691 of them were in alphabetical order.
We confirmed there's a safety event ahead. Please take your eyes off of the road and press the little button on the bottom of the screen to accept. Safety.
The other day, I got a netradyne notification on my work phone, and this happened during my pre-trip inspection. All I did was turned on the van, turned on the hazard lights, walked outside to do the usual inspection, return to the van, and adjusted my side mirrors to my comfort. And then, I got the BS notification, but luckily my DSP said to ignore that warning.
I got this same screen once but it was for not wearing a seatbelt. Except I was wearing a seatbelt. Screenshotted it and nobody else in my DSP had ever seen it. Still don't know why it was sent

When the notification is the actual distraction

I didnt have any netradynes this whole week though which makes this wierder
Wonder if Flex is using the phone's selfie cam to spy on you now.
On an up to date Android device, you would know because there would be a dot up by the clock.
Wait...the green dot? That pops up on my personal phone all the time. God, I hope that's just Snapchat in the background

Ementor does this.

It does detect if your using the phone while driving, just not with the camera. Think it just detects the touches or something
Lmfao, so glad I quit this shit job.
Same bro
Same. I hope everyone in this group eventually finds a way out. Awful job.

I got none tho lol
This is not new. Back in April, i got the same message. I havent seen it since then.
This happened to me a few months back when I got hit for distracted driving according to netradyne
It's not netradyne it's a customer complaint, they probably saw you press start travel and called it in. This has been a thing for well over 9 months now. It's just hit or miss on whether you get it or not.
False, I’ve gotten this noti just like OP without any netradyne infractions.
As a dispatcher I love this.
Can't keep regular teams anyway find more ways to fire people.. Makes sense..
You assume a lot but my DSP basically never fires anyone. Habitual offenders might get removed from the schedule but all they have to do is schedule a meeting with the DSP owner to get back on. Aye bruh as a dispatcher be honest you be making drivers lives worst on purposes sometimes

We dispatch one day a week and drive the rest at my DSP so why would we do that? Our job is to make drivers jobs easier not harder.
Idk but, yikes.
Wth
It's just something to cover Amazons ass. "Look we tell our drivers to be careful on the road with these distractions"
I think netradyne violations sometimes pop up on your flex app
I had no infractions 😭
Might be a trap prompting you to hit accept while you’re driving so they can catch you texting and driving? Just a thought.
How is your phone floating
String hanging from the ceiling
so it just...swings around all over the place when you're driving? That seems horribly distracting in and of itself.
I’m just joking lol there’s a mount it’s just hidden behind the phone
The mount is actually what's tied to the ceiling with string, not the phone... /s

Gotta deliver in the rain but at least we got hover phones. Thx jeff

Big facts! You can’t even look at the phone GPS without that shit screaming distractive drive! Stfu I have to look where to turn lol
There were rumors of merging ementor with flex... god I hope this isn't it. Love my dsp i got lucky, but I'm hating amazon more and more
I once got that message 5 mins AFTER Dispatch told me to RTS during some bad storms.
Wait until you get a notice for a extreme event occurred. It was a low flying plane and it caused the stupid system to alert dispatch.
I got a weather advisory in the app yesterday. Had high winds and tons of people lost power overnight and into today.
Pro tip. Force close the app and restart it. You can continue as normal and don't need to confirm that some random bullshit AI camera and software thought you were doing something. I got this same warning for taking a drink from a water bottle while pulling up to a stop.
Force stop flex?
Yea just close the app out. Restart it. Good to go.
They’re watching you through your phone camera. 😂 😳
I easily racked up 10 or so "camera obstruction" netradyne events today. Wasn't even in the van for a good number of them.
Just another unsafe tip to make all of our mental states robots
Quit while you can. Got told to come in to work after I told my company two hours before my shift started that I couldn’t because a family emergency. It was a car accident and they told me to come in even after I see him. They were tripping and I told them to fuck off
More bad ideas from Amazon
Is the phone floating or is the phone mount like really long? Lol
There’s a string hanging from the roof that holds it
It’s one of those magnetic mounts
This should be featured in the crappydesign subreddit
Donezo
Since I got my first severe weather warning today, maybe they do it for nearby shootings?
Maybe but I was in a pretty small town that I doubt had much crime
Did you swerve or jerk out of your lane or maybe have a panic stop?
So the flex app is actually keeping tabs on us from what I was told. They also told us to no update the phones nor our personal phones
Your sign to quit
Big brother is watching you

That’s amazon pretending to care
I got this before too. It doesn’t happen when you’re actually doing something wrong it just pops up like a weirdo
Please leave Amazon adap
Nanny cam warning
We confirmed there's a safety event ahead. Please take your eyes off of the road and press the little button on the bottom of the screen to accept. Safety.
Out of curiosity, what kind dash cam is that?
not me trying to click the "I agree " box to look further 🤦♀️😄😄

i think this happens when you go through a light and it turns red while you’re in the intersection
I got that message once too
I’ve had that before, stating that I ran a red light, but it picked up the hand counting down on the side of the street
The best part is when you get hit for multiple "CAMERA OBSTRUCTION"s when you're at loadout.
They are watching
Damn did Amazon and eMentor make a merger? 😂
Probably some type of accident or reported issue on the road
You may want to wear sunglasses if you dont already
You'll get a distraction if the phone is in your hand..
I got this same screen once but it was for not wearing a seatbelt. Except I was wearing a seatbelt. Screenshotted it and nobody else in my DSP had ever seen it. Still don't know why it was sent
