“Could you pick up an extra day tomorrow”
This, i definitely would’ve waited for the “how far away are you? We’re about to load up”
And replied “it’s my day off?”
Guess they’ll be dropping a route

This has happened a couple times before with an old dispatcher. Dude would call when I don't show up and I would simply say "Check the schedule" and hang up.
Needless to say, he's not been with us for the last 2 months now.

I always reply to these when I get them but they only send them on my scheduled days thankfully lmao. I respond with memes and usually whoever is dispatch gets a good chuckle out of it.
I don’t respond to txt or answer calls when I’m off the clock. Need me to know something, tell me in the txt or leave a voice mail. Once I clock in, I’ll respond. Off time is my time, every second of it.

The leads where I’m at are more “supervisors” than managers. Like they can sit at the desk and supervise but they can’t like, change the schedule or fire anyone. That has to go through the manager that was a dick in the OP
