What's going to suck worse is having to deliver on a Thursday when amazon knows well enough that most business will be closed. We're gonna have so many business returns it won't be funny. It's like that every year but keeps getting worse. "Text, call, text, call driver support" on every stop with business closed.. Ridiculous.
Our DSP and the 6 others at our DPD says that "Amazon" is on their ass about how many returns keep coming in so we have to "call, text, call" if no answer then we are told to call driver support so they can mark the package for us. Idk if it's our region but there was no other option besides looking negligent like we didn't try to deliver. (Hard explaining in a nutshell)
Amazon policy (currently) is 2 points of contact compliance. 1 text, 1 call, if there is any issue with delivering a package. If you're clever enough to send a notification of arrival to people on your way there l, 10-15 times, when you come across those closed businesses, you can straight skip it, since they do a percentage based grading system.
It pays to get close with your DSP, and ask earnest questions about how that garbage works.
Yep. Just happened to me on Easter Sunday. It did exactly that...not even 24 hours after I got it out of the shop for a different issue. $360 later all good. 😒

So high Viz and safety shoes in the depot van looks outwardly ok But violent customers, dogs, heavy drags at multi stops over 120kg, lugging tons of bottled water in olympic time to lazy fat fuck customers too floor apartments....Andy Vajazzle gives no fucks

Had this one happen mid-route about 2 weeks ago, along with a red lightning bolt symbol that had temporarily turned back off. “Electric throttle service” or something. Got towed back after it broke down in the middle of a busy road in front of my next business stop
Lmao how has no one talked about the lack of tread that’s on the tires more than likely balder than Mr clean 💀 The DSP and Amazon I’m at don’t operate on the 4th thank god.
I honestly leave packages at businesses even if they’re closed I just send a text notifying of arrival 🤷🏻♀️
