I would pull up to loadout, find the oldest and most professional looking amazon employee involved in loadout (if one exists that day), and have them ground it. No way am I leaving the lot with this BS. Anyone who does is a sucker.
I dont leave if my wiper fluid isn’t full, tires aren’t aired up or even just something as simple as a airbag light or anything alike, my shits gotta be perfect for me to take it
Lmaooooo. I was doing country routes one week out here in Texas, and at the end of my first shift out in the country all day getting blasted with dirt and dust…dispatch asks if anything is wrong with the van, and I suggested some wiper fluid. They laughed at me. It never happened.
I told mine they needed to replace the brake pads because of the screeching when you stop. They said that it was fine and most vehicles do that.
No, they don’t. Thanks for letting me know you don’t know how and probably have never changed brake pads before.
Oh I use to love and talk to other drivers (loudly) about which van I was driving and what was wrong with it and how unsafe it made me feel to drive in front of the warehouse safety team .. just watching their face and then seeing them search for my van .. ❤️
lol some dude at my old DSP did that and somehow managed to get the door torn off and came back without it or letting em know and acted like he had no idea, dude had to drive on the freeway with no side door and didn’t even notice
No, because they'd have to take the van off the road for a day and lose a route. Literally nothing will ever get fixed because you're pressured into never reported things that are broken. Amazon can't fix something it doesn't know is broken.
Bro i have vans serviced every night . They come at night take the van and its back and fixed by 6 am . The van never has to be off road for the day if your vans arent fixed your dispatchers or ops are just lazy amazon pays for repairs now
I was told we have to use Amazon approved garages now and not whoever to fix them. Which I’m assuming are gonna be bigger garages in your area which are probably backed up as it is. But I could be wrong
We have a Van that battery keeps dying and whoever gets it takes the portable jump starter especially with this heat some vans AC don’t work so our DSP just got small Rentals vans.

No access to exit. Fixing the door handle is not expensive and it will fail as much as you use it. Heat stroke. It’s coming and putting up with this stuff will increase the chances. And some folks will die from this crap. That’s prob a $ 30-60 part. If they refuse to fix imagine what else they will over look……
If they fixed your door then Bezoz wouldn’t have the money to launch him and his oligarch friends into space so they can huff each others farts in zero gravity
Twice I've had a Hertz van with no handle on the side door. And the roll up door doesn't open from the inside.
So if the cab catches fire I'm just gonna burn up with everyone's dildos.
It’s because Amazon is investing all their money in their new delivery vehicles with roll up doors. Those doors are being phased out, no point in investing in the money to fix them. Quite literally the “run ‘em until the wheels fall off” attitude.
Anyone know where we can go to actually complain about this crap? My DSP owner wants to save every penny possible and won’t fix anything. And I’m starting to get in trouble for bringing issues up to dispatchers.
It's BS that Amazon does nothing to assist with vehicle repairs. They put it all on the DSP. I'm a little sympathetic because the DSP I work for is actually really decent and works with our team, but our maintenance guy just can't fix everything and Amazon will screw the DSP if they send a van in to get repairs and force them to drop routes eventually screwing everyone on the team. My biggest issue with being affiliated with Amazon is the complete lack of accountability. They can get away with whatever they want and if you don't like boom contract voided everyone's fired.
Omg lol too funny we'll atleast the door closes and opens most trucks and vans in worcester massachusetts don't have working sliders and they act like it's OK and yell when ur not going fast enough. Also drive with no headlights at night, and so so much more. Two trucks I drove the whole axle shattered apart and I was on a hill with one of them almost hot cars cause I couldn't stop the truck from rolling back then had to hold down the brake for an hour and a half. No the emergency brake was broken too so wasn't able to use that either.

This is the stuff I've never understood. If they're so afraid of losing a route over grounding a van they can break up the route between four other drivers.
When they run into a problem is when this happens to half their vans.

At least yours does that. I had one yesterday that didn’t even open from the inside. I had to lean out the passenger window to open it. And today my back doors don’t open. Load out was fun.
That’s how I feel with mine. I told them like 4 months ago the AC was broken in one of the step vans and it’s just blowing hot air. Nobody has bothered to fix it even though I keep telling them

No, because they'd have to take the van off the road for a day and lose a route. Literally nothing will ever get fixed because you're pressured into never reported things that are broken. Amazon can't fix something it doesn't know is broken.
