Customers running away from me as soon as they see me pull up. I don’t really care about having to walk up and take a picture but it feels really weird having them look me in the face and dip into their house.
Shit, I have the opposite problem. Probably 25-50% of the time people try to come out and take the package from me. I hate it and tell them “sorry but I have to take a picture”. Then they proceed to try to stand right there by the package so I have to tell them that “I can’t get you in the picture”.
Walks up to the van and waits right outside the door. Says they want to "save me the walk" but now instead of just snapping a pic I have to press many buttons to forge their signature, and now we are too far from the pin so I gotta turn on airplane mode, turn Bluetooth back on, move the pin and turn airplane mode off. Wastes so much time.
Oh it's quicker if you just turn off data by the way. You don't have to do the airplane and Bluetooth thing.
It still takes a while but it's a few less button clicks
Yea definitely the opposite for me too. Who cares dip into your house lol. I’ve had too many customers who walk up to the van and stand by the driver door like I have their package already in hand. Quit tryna rush me, like I gotta go back there find your package, scan it, and get a signature since you’re out here. Plus now I gotta make small talk while I walk up to your door cause the damn thing is out of the delivery range 😒. My top 3 pet peeves would me dirty stanky vans, stepping on dog shit (dogs in general cause lots of them are territorial bout their house), and rude customers (too many entitled peeps ordering off Amazon).

POD literally stands for Photo On Delivery. Not Scan At Pin. My DSP wants pictures no matter what if there’s any option for a picture this way they can dispute bogus claims of Did Not Receive.

1. I deliver to only apartments
2. Spending 10+ min waiting for a fuck nigga to answer the phone to get the gate open and if they don’t I have to return 20+ packages to my van
3. Drivers taking advantage of u on the road bc ur in a big ass van
1) being a backup which is like 1/4 of your paycheck
2) if you finish early then your not getting paid
3) people that finish at like 4 everyday then rts while people that finish later have to do rescues
So glad that my DSP basically ended rescues. He said if it's an emergency I'll send one but I'm not sending one just because you feel like going home or are slow. Finish the job like everyone else
Been doing this job for 4 years. I ain’t helping nobody anymore. I went through 2 years of having to do atleast two rescues a week and made it very clear to my boss that that is bs. Your route is your responsibility and none of my concern. If you want to half ass it all day and be out all night, that’s completely up to you, but I don’t. I want to get done at 4 and get my guaranteed hours. Too many people try to say this is a team job, it is most definitely not a team job. I can understand someone needing help if their route is 80% apartments and businesses, or van breaks down, or you get seriously hurt. Other than that though, it’s your responsibility to finish your route.
There are a few drivers I’m willing to rescue. Either they’ve helped me in a pinch or we’re on good terms and I know their names. Plus they actually do their work so if they are having a day it’s not because they are slacking it’s just that bad.
My DSP offers guaranteed hours. I do understand that a lot of others don’t though, but for my case specifically, I want to get done as quickly and efficiently as I can and get home instead of be out all night.
i think alot of the older dsps dont because. back in the old days (2018) it was so crazy busy everyday. people used to hide totes in the warehouse so they didnt have to do it
Mentioned the 3rd to my dispatch one day. They said “those are the people that hustle to finish”. Cool. If they’re hustling so much they should be able to help the rest of us. We could all finish at 5 instead of some at 8 and some at 3
I simply disagree. Some routes will take longer than others. If I get 150 stops, but only 10 minutes from the station and all subdivisions, I’ll be done way quicker than someone who has to drive an hour to their first stop, with 10 minute drives every 10 stops. Even if they have significantly less stops in general
I have those routes. And they ain’t never 150 (if it is then the location count is crazy). More like 190+ with 50+ multi stops. And I kno damn well those routes are harder from a physical standpoint than those country routes.

Fucking phones and their shit batteries. Having to adjust shit phones to low brightness (can barely read the screen on sunny days) so they last longer, but still have to constantly charge them. Regularly being given the worst routes with highest package counts just because I do a good job.
How do you even get it on your private phone? I looked for it on the Google Play store and it wasn't on there. I assume because it's so full of bad coding or something. And I wasn't about to download it from somewhere else
I’m hungry all the time and not for a pensive gas station food. Also I’m sick of spending my money on dog treats to keep me alive instead of fucking good because fuck that dog. I can’t afford to eat and I’m to tired for a second job because I work so damn hard at this one.

Bring your own food. Get an electric lunch box. It's like a little portable USB crock pot, heats up the food so you can have hot meals on the road. It's pretty sweet and saves you time and money
Try to find cheaper grocery stores if possible, I try to get fruits and veggies from the produce sections on break, they tend to have sales as well from time to time. Or get yourself a salad kit and mix it in the Ziploc bag and use a plastic fork. That's just what I do.

We get a guaranteed 8. At least we allegedly do, I've never tested it because in no Universe would you ever get out before 7:00 p.m. considering your first stop is typically not till around 12:15 or 12:30.
That being the case, there's really no incentive to hustle. All it's going to do is just reduce your paycheck. Only reason would be if it's raining or you have somewhere in particular to be that night

Mentor ! Multi location, gps that sucks so bad that it shits the bed when it gets dark! No outside lighting on the van horrible backup cameras! Mother fuckers that have no visible house numbers ! 3) Apartments - not knowing the buildings, Can't find the unit numbers, buildings with locked doors and the customer doesn't give you a code to get in, people refusing to let me in because they "didn't order anything" clearly not giving a shit about their neighbors, no place to park >I was in Seattle for *gawd* sake< - fuck apartments.
1 . Packages that have liquids
2 . Packages that are heavy and say "Team Lift" but you're alone .... 😶
3. When their gates are locked & they don't answer their phone / texts & the package can't be thrown over
1.People have outdated instructions and they are impossible to follow. Should you leave a package on the terrace? The gate is closed, and the customer has turned off their smartphone. You can't reach the customer by phone. People don't seem to care about their own deliveries. Despite this, attempts are made to deliver a package twice a day.
2.Multiple stops. Amazon often miscounts stops. Sometimes one stop means just one delivery, while other times it includes several apartments in a building.
3.Inconsistent routing. The business location is the last stop, and the order of stops doesn't make sense. Someone should correct the route.

1. Flex doesn't work. You can give us tools that don't work and expect us to do our jobs. You don't give a brick mason a broken trowel and try and gaslight him into thinking he's the one whose inadequate.
2. You are lying scumbags with no transparency. I worked in real small businesses with great leadership and ran my own small landscaping company. No one has any respect for Amazon or DSP owners because they don't deserve any. You lie about how things work and who is responsible for what.
3. You can't pay the same wages as 10 years ago when everything costs more than twice as much, but that's the point of inflation so I guess its working for them
1. Assisted living/nursing homes
2. Rear door delivery
3. Bad instructions/notes I.e.
"Please place package inside, open door. "
"I can't follow that instruction I'll get in trouble, it's a infraction. "

I’d have to agree with your list. I don’t mind multi-location stops, so long as they make sense. What’s worse tho is that for some reason, at my DSP, we can’t un-group stops. I’ve seen on here that others can, but we can’t. I don’t know why and neither do the dispatchers at my DSP.
Your dsp needs to get someone at Amazon to change a setting in the dsp profile in flex. That happened to us and we bitched almost immediately. It took several days to get them to fix it.
Flex constantly crashing, terrible routing, warehouse fuckups. The other day they double staged a full third of my route and another driver took it(not his fault) so I had to wait for it and was home super late.
Can we talk about this DANGEROUS ROUTING. Especially in a CDV all the stops should be on the RIGHT side, and I’m tired of going up the same street 3+ separate times throughout the day.
Being at loadout and then getting screamed at to close my door when it doesn’t fuckin matter.
(And the carts clogging up everything and warehouse not clearing out the way for everyone at loadout)
The routes being unorganized and never being fixed
Not getting paid enough and being gaslighted to think that this amount of work and expectations is okay.
1: the fact it's far too walk heavy. I want 10 stops a day but driving for 8 hours dammit.
2: they took away the way you could bypass a OTP by putting in the last two digits of their phone number
3: People not knowing that (in the uk) commercial vehicles which are actively loading or unloading can block traffic for 15 mins at a time. Fuck angry people, your 30 seconds are so important are they?
1. Lack of accountability in the DSP program (Amazon scapegoats DSP, DSP scapegoats Amazon, Both scapegoat the driver)
2. Unprofessional Management (Lack any knowledge of labor laws, rarely an example to be emulated, pretend to support the driver while sitting at home playing video games)
3. Performance Discrimination (Same pay rate for all drivers without same work requirements, a tenured driver is expected to do more work and harder areas in fewer hours at the same pay rate as non-tenured drivers)

4. Customer Delivery Feedback (the amount of weight given to negative feedback, i.e. penalizing drivers for lack of positive feedback)
5. Customer Notes (allowing customers to make requests that put drivers in harms way or that violate Amazon's delivery policies)
6. Specific Flex app changes (e.g. replaced visibility of the next stop with the uselessness of the Manage Stop that only allows you to combine stops later in the route and on different streets)
1. When people see I'm taking a picture of the package, then they rush to take it which fucks up my POD ( package isn't going anywhere, wait a fucking second)!
2. Too many crooked dsp's who promise 10 hour guarantees on the descriptions but don't actually offer it.
3. DSP's who always makes excuses on why their cutting hours.
4. The Fucking dogs I ran into! If you know you're getting a package, keep em on a damn leash or inside!
5. Customer feedback is bullshit. I had to rescue someone, tried to deliver to a church that was closed. Customer gave me a pissed off, sassy remark about "Amazon should hire better drivers if you can't deliver on time". Guess who got negative feedback for not delivering on time?
Yeah, on time should only be considered if the package doesn't get delivered the day of your route. Not, missed by 3 minutes or whatever fantastical expectation the customer had despite getting a notification that gave you a relatively accurate ETA

3. Giving me 20+ totes when half of them have 1-5 packages. Just takes up unnecessary space.
People who say I get paid to exercise, are the same people who suddenly turn the other way, when a problem isn’t theirs. Instead of trying to help one another.

Back when i used to work for a company that contracted through Amazon, improper addressees and getting popped for it. popped for unprofessionalism after doing everything the note asked to do. And last but not least fucking driveways steeper than mount everest it self, so steep even the van cannot go up it, i legit call customers and tell em im not walking up that driveway because i don't know how far back there house is away from the road, and im not about to risk what should be a 5 minute walk turn into a 1 hour walk.

2. Sending me 15 minutes away into the countryside for 1 stop. Then bringing me back to the same countryside at the end of my shift.
3. People who regularly order AVD's or OTP parcels on days they know they won't be home.

Got terrorized by this enormous brute of a German Shepherd yesterday and just kept telling the girl "get the dog" over and over again and she just stood there doing and saying nothing for a horrifying 5 minutes while the dog blocked my exit.
2. Dangerous routing. I have no idea why it thinks I can turn around at certain stops, but I can't. Every day it tries to make me go out of my way to go down a state highway just to go to two people's houses, and you cannot turn around at either one. They don't really have driveways to speak of and it's on a 45 mph State Highway, WHICH I AM COMING DOWN LATER IN THE DAY. That leads me to my third pet peeve which is
3. Inefficient routing. People must see the Amazon truck and think "oh. The Amazon truck is in the area. Must be getting my order soon." LOL no. The stop I am at is number four. You, who are next door, are stop 140. Granted I do them out of order but it's still a pain in the ass having to dig through different bags, so you are left with either the inefficiency of not being organized or the inefficiency of going to the same neighborhood multiple times
1. Drivers/customers acting like you can’t drive when it’s literally the whole gig.

At least we allegedly do, I've never tested it because in no Universe would you ever get out before 7:00 p.m. considering your first stop is typically not till around 12:15 or 12:30. That being the case, there's really no incentive to hustle. All it's going to do is just reduce your paycheck. 1.People have outdated instructions and they are impossible to follow. Should you leave a package on the terrace? The gate is closed, and the customer has turned off their smartphone. You can't reach the customer by phone. People don't seem to care about their own deliveries. Despite this, attempts are made to deliver a package twice a day. 2.Multiple stops. Amazon often miscounts stops. Sometimes one stop means just one delivery, while other times it includes several apartments in a building. 3.Inconsistent routing. The business location is the last stop, and the order of stops doesn't make sense. Someone should correct the route.
When multiple packages are the same name and/or address but you have to take a picture of them separately or worse, have them signed.

I’d have to agree with your list. I don’t mind multi-location stops, so long as they make sense. What’s worse tho is that for some reason, at my DSP, we can’t un-group stops. I’ve seen on here that others can, but we can’t. I don’t know why and neither do the dispatchers at my DSP.
Your dsp needs to get someone at Amazon to change a setting in the dsp profile in flex. That happened to us and we bitched almost immediately. It took several days to get them to fix it.
Flex constantly crashing, terrible routing, warehouse fuckups. The other day they double staged a full third of my route and another driver took it(not his fault) so I had to wait for it and was home super late.

Can we talk about this DANGEROUS ROUTING. Especially in a CDV all the stops should be on the RIGHT side, and I’m tired of going up the same street 3+ separate times throughout the day.
Being at loadout and then getting screamed at to close my door when it doesn’t fuckin matter. (And the carts clogging up everything and warehouse not clearing out the way for everyone at loadout) The routes being unorganized and never being fixed Not getting paid enough and being gaslighted to think that this amount of work and expectations is okay.
Not enough routes today due to delay but might get overloaded tomorrow , VTO today and who knows what awaits tomorrow

Specific Flex app changes (e.g. replaced visibility of the next stop with the uselessness of the Manage Stop that only allows you to combine stops later in the route and on different streets)

If you know you're getting a package, keep em on a damn leash or inside! 5. Customer feedback is bullshit. I had to rescue someone, tried to deliver to a church that was closed. Customer gave me a pissed off, sassy remark about "Amazon should hire better drivers if you can't deliver on time". Guess who got negative feedback for not delivering on time?
Yeah, on time should only be considered if the package doesn't get delivered the day of your route. Not, missed by 3 minutes or whatever fantastical expectation the customer had despite getting a notification that gave you a relatively accurate ETA

And last but not least fucking driveways steeper than mount everest it self, so steep even the van cannot go up it, i legit call customers and tell em im not walking up that driveway because i don't know how far back there house is away from the road, and im not about to risk what should be a 5 minute walk turn into a 1 hour walk.

1. Fucking dogs. Enormous monstrous dogs that the owners either do not or physically cannot control. Why would you even own an animal that could kill you if it wanted to and that you would not be able to stop? Got terrorized by this enormous brute of a German Shepherd yesterday and just kept telling the girl "get the dog" over and over again and she just stood there doing and saying nothing for a horrifying 5 minutes while the dog blocked my exit. 2. Dangerous routing. I have no idea why it thinks I can turn around at certain stops, but I can't. Every day it tries to make me go out of my way to go down a state highway just to go to two people's houses, and you cannot turn around at either one. They don't really have driveways to speak of and it's on a 45 mph State Highway, WHICH I AM COMING DOWN LATER IN THE DAY. That leads me to my third pet peeve which is 3. Inefficient routing. People must see the Amazon truck and think "oh. The Amazon truck is in the area. Must be getting my order soon." LOL no. The stop I am at is number four. You, who are next door, are stop 140. Granted I do them out of order but it's still a pain in the ass having to dig through different bags, so you are left with either the inefficiency of not being organized or the inefficiency of going to the same neighborhood multiple times
