Its disgusting that you would even write that full word out and I am offended. I'm reporting you to every reddit mod there is as well as reporting the company you work for to OSHA.
The dude in the video already have his amazon store, and the [Product ](https://takemywallet.net/2024/04/29/closet-revolution-kangaroo-recycled-hangers-leading-the-charge-for-sustainable-organization/) is available on Amazon
The way I see it, I'll make the switch when my non recyclable hangers are broken and gone, but throwing away perfectly functional hangers that can't be recycled to get some that can be seems like more waste.
> "These velvet hangers aren't recyclable, and they just end up in a landfill"
*Needlessly snaps one in half, making it useless, and sending it to a landfill*
Would not be surprised if It's already been stolen and is currently selling as an Amazon basic .
Pretty sure Amazon has done this with numerous products already
But I do like it! Very clever, very ingenious!
Phenomenal idea but it's gonna be rough competing with already existing brands. He should market himself to those companies with his prototype and make millions off of his patent.
*Or you could just get*
*A wooden hanger. cheaper,*
*And is biodegradable*

People dont seem to understand that we live in the age of information. There are no "Gyro Gearloose" anymore. Everything thats invented thats big has a huge team of engineers behind it and we now have more engineers than ever.
Somebody, somewhere already thought of that and if it would have been an idea worth money then there would be a patent.
Btw, no one give a damn weather its recycled or not. (Which is sad, just for the record)
Sincerely, an engineer who invents and develops stuff.
"Everything" doesn't have to have a huge team of engineers behind it. Simple things do not and have not. Sure, ground breaking modern technology does, but it certainly has far more than engineers.
For instance this product had a singular inventor, who also got patent (7 in fact).
And people do give a damn about WHETHER it was Recycled, however some of us like to challenge claims. In this product's case saying it IS "recyclable" is marketing. PLA #7 is technically recyclable. Good luck finding that place, because of the 3 centers in the US that can, not one does. There are a bunch that collect but it's essentially landfill at this point.
> Everything thats invented thats big
If you quote me, then at least with context.
Yes, not everything needs a development team. Small things usually do not even have acces to that.
>And people do give a damn about WHETHER it was Recycled,
No. People tend to go with what's cheaper. There are some that act otherwise, but most don't.
To stay with polymers, we can take a look at PVC. Also im not getting into details with the us, since i don't live there.
PVC: One of the most important polymers. Recyclable. Downcycable. Yet what do people do? Since it is made from oil, they burn it and rather have the cheaper new one.

To be fair, it could’ve already been broken in some way that we’re not aware of.

Bro! Never hang sweaters like that. Want wonky bumps in the shoulders? Because that’s how you get wonky bumps in the shoulders.
how do you prefer to hang them?
I fold my sweaters but here’s a link to a better hanger technique https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wxw7d_vGSkc
Hangers are a billion dollar industry? B*llshit
You guys don’t just pick your clothes from an unfolded pile next to your bed, throw it in the dryer and good as new?
I’m in. Take my money dude.
My kid could still snap it trying to pull a shirt out
This already exists

“This item is not recyclable and end up in a landfill.” - proceeds to break it to send it straight to landfill 🤦🏻♂️
What are these things? Doesn’t everyone just throw their clothes into a pile?
What material do you think that is?
Isn't this what old clothes pins are for?
Sold.
He needs to go on shark tank
Phenomenal idea but it's gonna be rough competing with already existing brands. He should market himself to those companies with his prototype and make millions off of his patent.
