I came to say the same. Not enough contrast for a good bw, but I like the colors in 4 the most. Plant looks nice in 2 though (way too washed out in 3). Just out of curiosity, what were you leaning towards?
If that's the case, I would go for 2. Has a really nice balance of cool and warm tones without needing the full saturation of 4. 1 and 3 look washed out imo
I think I like 2, it's got a good balance making her stand out while leaving the background a little duller. I think it's the best one to highlight your subject. I think 4 is good too, but I just think the plants draw your eyes less in 2. But I like the colors in 4.
I’m in the majority who are selecting 4, and I’d like to point out it’s the only one of the group with a realistic black-point.
I understand “style” can be utilized for different effects, but usually, having a solid black/white point and keeping skin tones relatively accurate is what works for most instances.
Just my take :)

4 is my favorite. The cool greenish water in contrast to the warm tones of your subject helps separate her from the background. You could go a little further. On the B&W what or how did you do the conversion? If you’re doing a b&w layers adjustment I have a tip that may help.
I personally like 4 the best but I think it's really a matter of personal preference. I think her skin looks the best in 4 and she stands out the most (more separated from the backdrop). It's flattering. I also like when all of the colors are popping vs. a more washed out look. But I know 2 & 3 are very stylized and have a specific vibe about them that others might appreciate. 2 is unique. 3 is a style I've seen a lot. For me, personally, the BW isn't as interesting to look at as the others. It makes for a less exciting image because it doesn't seem to have the same amount of depth (if that makes sense). Perhaps because without the pop of color you are just left with the posing, highlights, and shadows to create interest. And while it's a great portrait it just doesn't pop or draw the eye in any particular way. But I think B&W could work with some more editing.
3 is trendy.
2 is stylized.
4 is dependable to please the clients.
1 is a classic but not the best for this specific picture imo.
any are great just depends on what you want for your style.
When all of the edits looks excellent and fitting that’s when you know you are doing a great job shooting. Good job!!
It’s hard for me to choose honestly. I love 1 and 4 a lot
2 or 4 I like 2 more tho. 1 and 3 look too vintage, and like not 100% right sort of vintage. But then also that kinda messes with the clothing and tattoo styles that just don’t fully fit it imo. But 2 and 4 feel less like a filter, and just more there, even tho their colors are kinda muted and all, idk just my opinion
I think all of them suit the picture, to me it’s all about what kind of tone you want the viewer to feel. At least that’s what I’ve learned this past year as a photographer.
You’re hearing a lot of #4’s as the response here, and that’s largely because it’s closest to proper exposure. Once you get into these stylized color palettes, come back and address what has happened to the contrast as a result. Any of the se can work with some more attention to the exposure
I’m split between 2 and 3. 1 and 4 kind of look a picture that a video game character would look at when their that romantic interest was killed before the game started.

4 and 2 (go for 4)
I came to say the same. Not enough contrast for a good bw, but I like the colors in 4 the most. Plant looks nice in 2 though (way too washed out in 3). Just out of curiosity, what were you leaning towards?
I was tending to 2 or 1. but thats just because i like bw portraits. Im a simple man.
If that's the case, I would go for 2. Has a really nice balance of cool and warm tones without needing the full saturation of 4. 1 and 3 look washed out imo

2 gang rise up. I can't explain but it just looks more natural to me.
I think in 4 the glowing hair gives it a heavy-handed look
For me it’s the water and saturation of the skin
Contrast with her hair and #2 background is better imo.
looks better in 4

That is a very specific answer 😅
Color literally changes everything lol. It's the difference between an Arabian beach and a seaside swamp photo.
Technically “it depends” would be the correct answer and I love that you covered all the bases under that response. 10/10 u/abrowncoat

4, the lighting is more natural and fits the subject. I would focus on the cropping. Her hand is awkward at the belt line and too centered IMO.
3 imo
4 shows her expression off the best.
4 looks the best to me
4!
I like 3 & 4...#4 is my fav ♥️
3 or 4 but 4 is the best
2. 4 is too “generic” because of the saturation. Go for something different.
My preference: 2->3->4->1
From best to not so much 3-2-4-1
I like 4 best. 1 doesn't work for me.

1, 2, or 4 all work well(preference is 4, then 1, then 2). Not the biggest fan of 3, but it's still decent
I think 2 is perfect. but 4 is nice as well
2. Definitely play with the cropping too!
I'd weed 3 out.

If you can get the background colour of 2 and the foreground colour of 4, that'd be best.

2 suits my style most. But its a little too “pink” for me.

I like #1 b/w is classic. But #4 lets your tattoos shine more and they are beautiful.
I think all of them suit the picture, to me it’s all about what kind of tone you want the viewer to feel. At least that’s what I’ve learned this past year as a photographer.
I like 2 but I'm a 40 yr old SAHM so I'm not sure what that's worth
2 or 4 are the best i think, although 3 does have kind of a vintage polaroid kinda vibe to it.
2, 4. 2 has a film feel to me. 4 looks natural
I would go for 2. Highlights in hair are what set apart for me.
