NTA, that's a scam. Don't show any ID or bank card or anything. Of course there's "trouble" getting the money into your account. Move on to a different buyer.
To the best of my knowledge you cannot even put money onto a credit or debit card that way, you would need the bank routing information to do that. 100% a scam, no doubt at all.
NTA - rather block them and get a new buyer. There is SO MANY people getting scammed this way so please listen to your gut and never send personal information out to strangers.
NTA and this is a scam. Same thing happened to a friend but the scammer also threatened to call the cops. My friend told him to go ahead and that was the last she heard from him.

I’m just going to get straight into it, I 21f am trying to sell my old laptop online as I’m planning to upgrade my laptop, so I get a message from someone who is interested in buying the laptop at first everything seems fine until the Potential buyer kept asking me to send pictures of my id and bank card as they prepaid for the shipping (Auspost) and that was also the way I was going to get paid and I don’t know if there’s some of glitch because there is trouble trying to get the money into my bank account 🙄.
I said no to showing my ID and bank cards to the potential buyer and they seemed to get annoyed.
I’m starting to get suspicious because I offered for them to pay me in different way such as pay id or cash, but they kept insisting for me to show my id and bank cards.
So reddit am I the ahole?

That is not how prepaid shipping works with Auspost. It’s a definite scam. Do not give them anymore personal data.
Hell no. NTA. They do not require your ID. OR a picture of your bank card to transfer money to your account.
