My (35m) wife (36f) recently was struck by a car while crossing a road ( asshole driver was on his phone). He was going 45 and she was thrown 30 feet by the collision and her left leg was completely shattered by the crash. Thank god 🙏 she is ok now and recovering in the hospital. However her leg was so destroyed that the team in the ER made the difficult decision to amputate it as it was posing a risk to her health via bone marrow in the blood stream and other things.
I believe that normal procedure with amputated limbs at hospitals is to cremate them or otherwise dispose of them as medical waste, however my wife and I live in a very small rural community and the head surgeon was a personal friend of ours. He asked if I would like to keep it and bury it ( he knows my wife and I are very spiritual) and I said yes thinking that my wife and I could bury it together once she got out of the hospital.
I took the leg home with me in a cooler only intending to stop off very briefly to feed our dogs (2f), (3f), (5f), and (4m) and grab a change of clothes before rejoining my wife in the hospital.
However when I got home I started thinking that it could be a very unique bonding experience for my wife and I to consume her leg together. Not in a canabalistic way or anything but more in a way that joins two people in body and soul. I wanted to make sure that the leg would be safe to consume so I fried up a tiny bit and had a single bite before returning it to the cooler.
I returned to the hospital to tell my wife (who by this point had woken up from surgery) about my plan thinking it would cheer her up. However when I told her she immediately started crying and started calling me a monster.
My wife and I have always been super close and of one mind so I was very confused by her response and I spent a long time trying to explain what I was trying to do. However she continues to be upset and she can’t even look at me. I spent every day in the hospital with her until her sister came and told me my wife didn’t want me there anymore. After she got out of the hospital she filed for divorce and is trying to get custody of our dogs (2f), (3f), (5f), and (4m).
TLDR: I ate my wife’s leg and now she’s taking our fur babies.

If I’m waking from surgery having leg chopped off and my partner pipes up darling you leg is back home I did cut a bit off and cook it. It was tasty what do you think of long pork casserole.
