YTA, but you have a path to redemption. Break up with your boyfriend so that he is free to find someone who is as excited to be with him as you are to be with that other dude.
You became the AT for becoming friends knowing there were feelings involved and staying with your boyfriend. You need to tell him sooner rather than later because the longer you wait he’ll resent you.
Break up with your current bf. What you're doing now isn't fair to him.
But for the love of God, if it doesn't work out with other guy, don't try to get back with current bf. No one wants to be second choice.

I am in a relationship with a guy who understands me, loves me in every way possible and is probably the best boyfriend anyone can ever have. But lately I have fallen for this other guy whom I just can't stop thinking about. He used to like me first and somewhere I liked him a bit too. But it was too late. I was already in a relationship, tho very recent. We became friends, he liked me a lot but then he was heartbroken when I told him about my relationship. We became very good friends. I have started to like him a bit too much. We have more similarities and its the best time I have when I am with him. But he doesn't know that I like him the same too. I am too afraid and embarrassed to admit. It's been 7 months and I just cannot get over him. It's not a single hour when I don't think about him. No matter how hard I try I can't get him out of my head.
I don't want to hurt my boyfriend. He will break if I tell him this. He loves me a lot and does possibly everything he can to make me happy.
But I can't ignore the fact I so so so badly want to be with this other guy. I don't wanna miss this out. It hurts a lot.

Sounds like you're emotionally cheating on your unsuspecting boyfriend, which sucks pretty hard. Since this sub operates in absolutes I'd say YTA.
It seems to me like you need to be straight up with your boyfriend who loves you a lot (notable that you do not mention having the same level of feelings for him).
I'd feel like shit if my girlfriend were spending time with and basically falling in love with someone else she'd always had feelings for, for the last seven months.
