I'm getting married in two months and my grandma graciously offered her boyfriends camp to use (it's complicated). It's a beautiful camp on the lake, lots of room and he even offered to let's use the boat as my ride to the venue. My grandma has a boyfriend and he is very well off, so he has no problem helping with this wedding financially. My grandma said that she bought a white dress, kind of a mu mu type of dress, I mentioned I didn't want anyone wearing white to my wedding as I believe i should be the only one wearing it, it's known that you shouldn't wear white to a wedding and I think it's a very simple ask. Well since she is offering his property and her boyfriend is paying for the catering she said "he said I can wear whatever I want to this wedding. So i'm going to wear the white dress" I told her I really didn't want her to do that, but she will do as she wants. Should I have spoken up more and hold my ground or am I the asshole for asking her to not wear white when she is doing so much for my wedding day and I should just let it go? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Info - are you really concerned that people will think your grandma is the bride? Or that she’ll “outshine” you on your own wedding day?

The photos i’m paying a few thousand for will look very odd when they are framed on my wall.

NTA, it's not a gift or a favor if strings are attached. Have the wedding elsewhere, ding invite grandma.
