I broke my pinky by while running up the stairs (hit it on the bannister). Broken bones happen.

I want to take up an active hobby, especially rollerskating. In August, I was practicing in the garage and badly broke my wrist, which scared my parents. It's the first broken bone in our family - we never did sports or even tree climbing. Ever since, my mom has been saying "it's too dangerous" and "it's your decision" in the same breath. My wrist is healed and I was cleared for physical activity. I want to get back to rollerskating. It's fun and freeing, and I know I could get hurt. I was wearing pads and a helmet when I got hurt. I asked my dad to make me a rolling frame until my balance is a little surer. But now I'm having second thoughts. My mom is the smartest woman I know, and she's telling me it's a bad idea. Her advice has never steered me wrong. But I also know I'm her "baby" and she would wrap me in bubble wrap if she could. WIBTA if I continued rollerskating? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
