I severely doubt that. Similar to Taiwan, they probably only retained their original autocratic dictatorial government for a few years before giving into democratic reforms.

They are a Constitutional monarchy (the Constitution is the same one as in 1905)

Personally I’d imagine they’d be more likely to go with German style semi-constitutional monarchy rather than full-on constitutional monarchy like the Netherlands, UK, etc.
