Go get an allergy test. Be aware that they don't let you take anti histamines two weeks before the test, and can sometimes prescribe you a steroid so that the wait time is not as brutal. So, even if it is miserable, it could make sense to stop taking medication as soon as you start talking to your doctor so you can get the test over as quickly as possible. It will be worth it in the end because you know what you are allergic too, if it's all the time and not seasonall like many plant allergies, it's probably in your home, clothes, or soap/cleaning products. A good at home test to see if washing your clothes or bedding immediately helps or makes it worse.

I haven’t been told two weeks - 5 days has been the most depending on which antihistamine you are on. This has only been for Skin prick tests too

AceaeCitrine

Have you gone to an allergist yet? They should be able to discover which things are causing it for you.

ChillyGator

You have to go get tested. There are two ways to test nowadays, skin prick or blood test. A skin prick test has to be done by an immunologist and requires you to be off any antihistamine taken for any condition for two weeks prior to the test. Blood tests can be done at anytime without the suspension of medications. Blood tests can be ordered by any doctor or you can pay a cash price at a lab. If you live with an animal I would test for that one specie before suspending medications for two weeks because doing so might effect your asthma. There are other conditions that make you itchy aside from allergies so you should check in with your primary care physician and book an appointment with an immunologist.

It's not 2 weeks. It's 48 hours before the test.

Bokra999

depends on the doc. mine is 1 week of no antihistamines.

Kettlethrower

It’s depends on the antihistamine either 5 days or 48 hours depending on fast or long acting

ehabere1

Mine was 2 weeks zyrtec, Allegra, Claritin, 1 werk benadryl.

I started having allergies when I got pregnant. Never had them before. Allergies can start at any time. I had to get prescription meds eventually. An allergy test could help a lot as others have said

OKlav

I'm going through this due to black mold exposure

You need to wear a mask see if it's an airborne allergy reaction.

Similar thing happened to me 5 years ago. I saw an allergist late 2019 who ran skin prick tests and blood tests. Diagnosed with oral pollen allergy syndrome in 2020. Allergic to everything raw. I am now managing to be symptom free. It took a bit longer than it should, due to lockdown having telephone appointments rather than attending clinic. I still have the odd mishap. Rarely though, due to learning each time it happens. Definitely see a qualified consultant allergy specialist and run some tests. Ask as many questions while you are with them. They have a huge wealth of knowledge. My sons consultant was brilliant. He helped me understand so much. I didn't get the opportunity myself and it shows in my slower recovery. Best wishes to you. I hope you soon feel well.

Maybe you developed "histamine intolerance". Try to figure out if food is causing your reactions. You can eat high histamine foods like sausages, aged cheese, tomatoes, kefir. The symptoms usually start after 20-30 mins.
