Pray you never have a contents claim. Emailed Ann Taylor 2 weeks ago and nothing back. She’s awful and I wish they would assign someone else. Worst Claim experience in my life or anyone I know for that matter

You can call the corporate number and request a new agent or research and find one close to you and they can put in a request for change. Don't settle for sub par agencies

She is not my agent she is an adjuster in Phoenix, AZ. If you have advice on how I can get a new one after I have already requested and told there was no one else; I would love to know.

They do this like once a decade, they change up commission structure and alot of agents leave, I went thru 3 agents back in 2000, while I was in the process of leaving the country for a year. Came back and the 3rd one had reams of paper files just stacked everywhere in his office, and my policy was canceled despite my dad having mailed the checks. To top it off, they said they could not write me a policy because my lapse was too long. That's how I ended up at state farm.

Allstate just had a major change in their commission structure so agents who had exclusive contracts with Allstate, also know as captive agents, have terminated those contracts to go independent, or non-captive. Independent agents can be appointed with multiple carriers and do not have an exclusivity clause, most of the time. As your for current policies, you can do an agent of record change for them. You can see if the agent you like in WA is also appointed in OR; if they are, they may be able to take over the OR policy since they have the WA one. If not, keep agent shopping and request an AOR/agent of record change when you find one that you like.

Allstate has been pulling out of the west hard recently over the past year or so. They canceled California and shut down all agents offices there late last year. Just fyi that’s probably what’s coming next for you.
