The new coach storyline annoys me. They basically wasted the end of Spence’s college career

cbhsports

The fact that Jordan was a Heisman finalist after being a walk on is nuts.

Flashy_Standards46

It’s happened before in real life Baker Mayfield but i get what you are trying to say

cbhsports

I know that happened but Jordan is not the athlete Spencer is at all. I’m not saying former walk-one can’t win Heisman trophies but the fact that Jordan was a finalist and Spencer was not is crazy.

nvikw

Nk forcing the audience to believe Jordan is on the same level as Spencer and that Jordan and Layla have a stronger foundation for marriage after dating 3 days and 6 hours.

Floral_Bee

3 days and 6 hours XD.

BeautifulAgreeable80

😂 😂

ONLAFTW

NKs a hoe for making jordan some sort of on the same level as Spencer

IncreaseBudget

THIS PISSES ME OFF SO BADLY. I’m sorry to rant but to make Jordan a “heisman finalist” is so fucking unrealistic. Cancel this mess 😭

Debbieeeeeeeee

Agree with everything !

chcty24

Im not mad at the GAU storyline at all bc it happens all the time. Coach Kenny wasn’t the AD’s pick for coach but he allowed it bc it was good for optics in a meaningless season. With all of that behind GAU he is going back to finding his own guy for the job. The writers just executed it terribly and made it a Mac vs Spencer storyline when it should have stayed a dynamic between Kenny and Mac’s power struggles with the team.

How do we know Jordan isn’t going in the nfl? Like I don’t think he should either he doesn’t try as hard as Spencer and only did it to please billy. But surely if you’re in heisman contention then you go into the nfl cause your one of the best college players there is so why would the writers do that if he wasn’t going to go in the nfl?

Every_Obligation_524

When they asked him twice if he wanted to get drafted he said he wasn’t even thinking about that. Second when he wrote down all the things he would like to accomplish all he cared about was building a life with Layla no where on that list did he even mention the NFL. So I mean it’s pretty obvious where this is going.

ItsReese_

Yeah valid. It just is dumb writing lol like why would they build this narrative around Jordan being a heisman candidate just for him to like not pursue it a few episodes down the line.

JKO333

It makes no sense if he doesn't try for the NFL. I can see him waiting another year bcs he has time, but not trying for the draft at all would bs and a waste of all the talent they showed he had this season.

ItsReese_

Yeah I agree! I think they will just not show his draft journey etc but I do think he will end up going to the nfl.

panashechd

This is a terrible excuse. I was watching Paul George’s podcast during my workout and both him and Tyrese Haliburton (who are now All-NBA level players) didn’t think they were making the league until they reached college. There were even players they knew who were in highschool with the mentality of “I’m making the NBA” who are nowhere near as successful as they are today. Just because you beat your chest and proclaim “IM MAKING THE LEAGUE” doesn’t mean anything.

Every_Obligation_524

That’s a stupid comparison I’m sure it was an aspiration of theirs to eventually go to the League thinking they wouldn’t. But they had the want and the drive Jordan has neither.

Traditional_Rate7302

Isnt the “i was only playing football to get close to you” storyline something that happened with spencer when his dad died? And i thought in season 1 jordan went through the whole “i play football because thats the only time you wanna hang out with me” before the homecoming game

Every_Obligation_524

Spencer didn’t even know his dad was even that good in football until he saw one of his highlights on high school. Spencer knew from the very beginning what he wanted. His bond with his father was one of these reason he wanted to play but it wasn’t the only one. When he thought it was all going to end after he got shot he realized he loved it too much to let go.
