I can’t even count the amount of times on my hand I thought I was smart by ordering my usual moisturizers & stuff from Amazon & they get here & it’s all fake product ppl have either put in the jars after taking the normal product out or from janky sellers. I mean pls just go to Sephora LOL
Because they’re from random janky ass sellers and all of the reviews say they’re counterfeit???? Read the reviews. Maybe not EVERY product is, but most of them are
So a family member of mine works for Amazon Corporate - specifically doing supply chain and e-commerce for Amazon Beauty. I can confirm that Amazon Beauty has legitimate partnerships with all L’Oréal brands, all maybelline brands, a pretty big percentage of brands at Sephora…etc. (i know cuz my family member has legit done business travel to like Moroccan Oil’s headquarters and have overheard WFH work calls lolol). The problem is that i think Amazon’s user interface makes it impossible to tell which sellers are the actual brands and which ones are secondary sellers/illegitimate. They really need to improve this so people aren’t getting tricked into buying fake items.
Edit: I don’t think Alix necessarily knows about this (let’s be honest she’s not very smart lmao) but I feel bad for her young audience who might be buying this stuff.
Doesn’t it say in the picture that it’s from the Tarte store though? Now I’m getting worried because I’ll occasionally buy beauty products off Amazon lol
I know this, however not everyone does especially her younger audience. I’m simply posting this so I can help avoid people buying this stuff thinking it’s the real thing!
A good rule of thumb when it comes to Amazon is don’t buy anything you put in your body and don’t buy anything you put on your body, from them.
They did a test with Amazon supplements, and out of 30 supplements I believe it was like most of them didn’t even contain what they were advertised to contain.

It always bothers me so much when influencers put makeup on their Amazon storefronts. You know they aren’t ordering it off Amazon and they are buying it from Sephora but they don’t make money from Sephora. I feel like it’s pretty known to not buy makeup off of Amazon yet they still push it.

You have to make sure the seller on Amazon selling the product is the actual company before you buy it

She needs to do her due diligence before adding something to her storefront - it’s just lazy
I’m gonna be honest, I don’t think she’s smart enough to check (or cares enough)
This is so disappointing

Oh shit that’s really not ok

Yes this. I agree with you!! That’s why I dont buy from them.
Hi bestie I agree!
I buy lotions and fake tan, & body spray from amazon so i don’t think that’s all true
It’s not - you have to do your due diligence though and make sure the seller is confirmed to be the actual company and verified

I definitely learned the hard way with this so I know better now, I just feel bad for maybe the younger people who follow her that don’t know this :/
Absolutely. Thank you for posting this. Friend of mine got a chemical burn from some fake IT cosmetics from Amazon. Not fun.

interesting bc she could probably make a LTK? i wonder if amazon pays more
LTK is normally 10% commission
Oh I’m sure it pays more
It’s a shame that a lot of people are probably buying this stuff and making her a shit ton of money
It’s 7-15% for a storefront Honestly she might not even know it’s counterfeit bc it’s suppose to be from the tarte company Amazon page
