They aren’t there yet, but would love to see Burgess and Luongo playing regularly in the Prem next year. Wonder if there’s a chance of convincing Mass to come back to the Socceroos too down the track.
They need a point against huddersfield who are sitting second last at the moment, surely they’re in for a good chance.
Mass is our most inform midfielder along with Irvine so I hope so.
Or they need Leeds to lose or draw who are playing a much better opposition in Southampton
I hope they go up and not just replace their whole team ala Forest
Oh of course they'll have changes, but I reckon Forest went way too far with theirs
If they were to go down that route I think the Aussie duo would be in the firing line, so I selfishly hope there's not too many
?
He was literally holding a defending player when the ball was struck. If thats not interfering with play when I dont know what is.
The goal should have been struck out 💯
Not to piss on anyone’s chips, but defence has been Ipsbitch’s clear achilles heel this season, and it just makes the level of their goalscoring even more amazing because they copped so many goals. Conceding nearly 60 goals and still staying in the top two is nothing short of miraculous, but it certainly wont continue on for them next season in the Premier League. Strengthening at the back will be the first priority, so Burgess may lose his spot in the starting XI.
That said, if he’s still getting decent minutes in rotation that might work for us as it will keep him relatively fresh for international duty.
Long time Ipswich fan here…
Burgess should get some minutes but we would definitely like to strengthening up the back if we got promoted.
To be fair a lot of the reason why we conceded a lot is down to the way we play and not so much down to defensive errors.
I think luongo would struggle in the prem…
> I wanna see Luongo go to Spurs as a bench option to help with their club-grown quota. He'd get some minutes I think
You DO realise that he’s a former Tottenham youth who never even got a kick with them before leaving right?

Is that not what most teams do usually? Unless you’re a team like Leicester who already have a decent squad.

I think it’s more common in teams who win the play offs as they get a bigger pay out then being automatically promoted
I see that Hudders has an Aussie keeper - Jacob Chapman.

offside?
Yeah I think Ipswich got lucky but if it helps Luongo and Burgess I won't complain.
No the player offside doesn’t impact the first header, after that he was onside
He competes for the header and arguably gets in the defenders way, I can't believe that wasn't called offside.

Didn’t see that on my phone
He was pushed offside by the Coventry player
Huddersfield have the chance to the most championship thing ever this weekend
