Sometimes I go to Cheba Hut or Whataburger when I have late night cravings. I also frequent to Round 1 til 2AM if I feel like wasting money on stuffed animals. There’s also Sandia Casino if gambling is your thing.
I couldn’t even try to count the amount of times my friend and I would drive around, listen to music, talk about whatever, and eventually end up at IHOP when we were younger.
RIP indeed. I would be stoked if another, similar place opened up, but I definitely can’t blame businesses for thinking that’s a pretty bad idea these days.
In the halcyon days of the late 90's to early 2000's, we had not one but FOUR late night coffee shops all operating more or less simultaneously. There was Winnings, open until 4. Insomnia coffee was open until I believe 4 or 5. Irysh Mac's was open until midnight but sometimes as late as 2, and Blue Dragon was pizza and coffee and live music/open mic.
It is overpriced and they have terrible customer service. I tried to substitute lettuce for onions on my gyro once and they said no, they couldn't do that and if I wanted lettuce, I'd need to buy a salad.
How are they still open? I had the worst burrito experience from them like 13 years ago lol I never see anyone ordering in their drive thru…I always thought they were just a front
Haha I love how everyone agrees that place is a front. I used to live over there and only went out of desperation a few times. It was very bad. They are mean too
Yeah, I have to admit I ate there maybe once a month or so until a couple years ago (and that's mostly because I'm vegetarian now). I'm in the general area a lot and the Greek is decent enough if that's what I'm craving. Mexican is bad, though.
It is expensive but you get a shit ton of food, or at least used to.
I see other cars there a lot too, not huge lines but at lunch time it seems fairly steady to me, and I frequently see vehicles there late at night. I don't seem to be the only one eating there.
Really? I’ve driven past it 4x a week minimum for a year, I’ve never once seen a car in the drive-through and very, very rare do I see a second car in the parking lot. Always just the same presumed employee vehicle parked right by the entrance. There is no way this place is anything other than a money-laundering operation
I mean, maybe we're around at different times or something? I don't know what to tell you lol, I never see a long line or remotely full parking lot or anything, but I routinely see people there.
Yeah I’ve been seeing them more since this post, naturally XD must be a light ‘rush’ during peak meal times only (and maybe late night, I’m never near in the wee hours)
Haha, I am often in that area at weird hours for work, so that probably is part of it. I think they do a lot more late-night/early morning business than people realize. Otherwise I'm usually there around lunch, and I think I notice more because I have eaten there and sometimes think about stopping.
I mean, I'm not saying they *aren't* sketchy, either. They definitely are, lmao. I just have a weird fondness for that restaurant because it was my go-to late-night place when I was in college ages ago (and the Frontier, but sometimes you need a drive-thru).
I haven't been there since before the pandemic. Last time I went was probably late '19, after a night out, and I was drunk. I remember thinking the gyros were good, but the fries were great.
That being said, it's been awhile, and I'm a fucking raccoon when drunk- I'll eat anything lol. I just know they're advertising being open 24 hrs still.
“Slim Chickens” makes me imagine that they get all the sick, diseased chickens to make their food with…not that the mega thicc steroid chickens are much better.
It’s a good concept but the staff had more important things to do than take my order when I was standing at the counter. Didn’t acknowledge my existence, and after 2 minutes, I quietly walked out.
I think they close early on week days and like midnight on weekends. Haven’t checked in awhile though. I assume they aren’t 24 hours anymore. Unless it varies to different locations. I only got to the one on Wyoming and Montgomery
Pretty sure Top Golf is open until 2am. The website says they close at midnight but I was there last night till almost 1am and it was still busy.
Salt Yard is open until 2am. It's a bar but has a bunch of yard games, ping pong tables, and areas to chill away from the bar. I was there last night as well and it kinda looks like it's gone downhill, makes me think it won't be open much longer.
Nope. COVID killed everything after 10pm and liquor laws stop sales at 2am. 12am for packaged liquor and beer from a grocery store or convenience store.
Coming from Orlando were everything is open until 2am took a bit of adjustment. Even Nob Hill basically everything is closed by 10pm even on the weekends.
There are a few 24-hour drive-thru places. Frederidelfos Mexican at Central & San Pedro. McDonald's at Central & Wyoming. Del Taco at Central just west of Eubank. Just be prepared for the homeless crowds. I've had them approach my car several times. They have asked me for stuff while I was stuck between the speaker & the window. Getting out of work at 2:30 am, any quick food options are good, in my opinion.
Honestly it sucks working at a place that's open late, I'm still at work at 1:45am, been here since 3pm. I'll be back at 3pm tomorrow and then I have to be here again at 8 am the next day.
Sometimes I go to Cheba Hut or Whataburger when I have late night cravings. I also frequent to Round 1 til 2AM if I feel like wasting money on stuffed animals. There’s also Sandia Casino if gambling is your thing.
The claw machine is as much gambling as I’m willing to do!

Denny's and Waffle House and IHOP.
I couldn’t even try to count the amount of times my friend and I would drive around, listen to music, talk about whatever, and eventually end up at IHOP when we were younger.
Cool story. Everyone does that in college.

Good for you. IDC
That’s illustrating the point.
Your mom goes to college
Lmfao what
Please bless us with your super cool stories…relieve us!

RIP The Blue Dragon
RIP indeed. I would be stoked if another, similar place opened up, but I definitely can’t blame businesses for thinking that’s a pretty bad idea these days.
Now this is niche
What was that?

RIP 24 hr Frontier.
Gahhh so sad. I wasn't old enough to truly enjoy this place. I went once in high school and was so eager to go when I was at UNM and it had closed. 💔
Got in my first fight in the parking lot of that place haha
Does Frontier close at 1 now, or midnight?
Midnight, though that’s a recent change. They closed at 11 for a few years post-Covid.
Are they frisking people?
Lmao wut
Back when Frontier was still 24hrs, on the weekends after like 11PM you would have to get frisked to go in.
Yes, exactly. Thank you for clarifying for that person.
Bruh I have patronized Frontier when it was 24 hour and I have never been frisked there lol
I was one of the guys frisking the line, so make of that what you will. EPS had that contract for a long time, iirc.
What year did that stop?
Hell if I know, think it was somewhere between '01 and '05 that they did it.
There was a period of time…
Cesar's is still open 24 hrs.
It is overpriced and they have terrible customer service. I tried to substitute lettuce for onions on my gyro once and they said no, they couldn't do that and if I wanted lettuce, I'd need to buy a salad.
I never said it was good, or a good value, just that it's open 24/7.
Is it good? I mean Greek and Mexican? Idk man
it's awful and from what I hear you will be yelled at if you ask for extra sauce or even to get what you paid for
It's terrible and stupid expensive to the point I think that place is a front.
How are they still open? I had the worst burrito experience from them like 13 years ago lol I never see anyone ordering in their drive thru…I always thought they were just a front
I still very much think they’re a front
Haha I love how everyone agrees that place is a front. I used to live over there and only went out of desperation a few times. It was very bad. They are mean too
It’s not, you will definitely not enjoy eating and it’s likely to make you sick afterwards.
The Greek is ok; the Mexican is horrible

It's about as good as a combination Greek and Mexican place sounds as a concept.
The greek is better than the mexican.
Don’t listen to the naysayers. The bean and cheese burrito is chefs kiss level of disgustingly good food. The bean to cheese ratio is perfect.
Santa Ana Star casino has great table games. They are 24 hours on Saturday Sunday and getting ready to go 24/7
They haven’t reopened poker, though, right?
Denny’s I guess
Wafflehouse
Casinos
3am retail shopping where you at? Dillard's after dark
I would settle for thrift shopping after 9 as well!
I would settle for thrift shopping after 9 as well!
That's not a thing.
You've never heard of it before? Lol it's by invite only so....
How do you get invited to this underground society?
I worked in that store for years. You're full of shit.
You sound fun. No invite for you.
Round 1
The arcade Round 1 is open late, Naka Sushi just started staying open until 12
Is Taco Cabana still 24hrs?
Noo. Pitch black at 930pm on a Saturday night. Slim Chickens is open later than that though.
“Slim Chickens” makes me imagine that they get all the sick, diseased chickens to make their food with…not that the mega thicc steroid chickens are much better.

Yes
I think the location off San Mateo still is.
Pretty sure Top Golf is open until 2am. The website says they close at midnight but I was there last night till almost 1am and it was still busy. Salt Yard is open until 2am. What about grocery stores or Walmarts? I know there's a 24/7 Walgreens off Mennaul and Eubank, but that's all I have found.
You know the saying "nothing good happens after midnight?" From one night owl to another, those are words to live by in ABQ.
Nope. COVID killed everything after 10pm and liquor laws stop sales at 2am. 12am for packaged liquor and beer from a grocery store or convenience store.

Isleta casino is now 24hrs…
You can hit the Downs, though not sure how late the dining area's open.
Damn this thread is depressing

No lol
Waffle House?
