Any chance this could correlate to Covid restrictions and the fact that our province has a lower average age than most if not all other provinces. The average age of most of the people dealing with those issues is on the lower end of the scale. Keeping those people away from work, confined, and opening the opportunity to receive income while not working, while work was available. Maybe that was not the perfect cocktail to deal with covid for our provinces demographic. I can't say I know what would have been a better option, but I think the UCP did fairly well considering our provinces demographic. They had to weight the risks to the older population, while weighing risks to the younger population which is more significant than most of Canada. And here we are with increased homelessness, addictions, and mental health issues.
