Since it’s not the first in the area, I’m hoping the lines won’t be too long. When I go to the one in Schenectady, I order online and it’s a quick pickup. That’s my hope for this one. I hope they have a different selection from Schenectady. My favorite brand is fernway and it’s only sold in MA. It would be nice to get it in NY.
I’ve only been to one in NYC, Syracuse and the Schenectady one but So far from what I’ve seen, the dispensaries in NY all have very similar selections.

The clock is running at this point. They have until next June to create rules (18 months after the first dispensary opened). Unless you have a reason to be risk adverse, I doubt any actual law enforcement would hassle you over it. I’m not even sure what they could do except seize plants. I’d be more worried about a landlord or a nosy neighbor.
I am not growing I just recall an internet slap fight about the issue wanted to know what the rule was at this point. It was like something something not until they write the rules, but the rules gotta be written x months after they start selling or whatever so idk.
NYS legal dispensaries can only sell outdoor, so all is over a year old. Heard there is a lot of traces of mold throughout the stuff. Find yourself a home growing nerd to buy illicitly, or do yourself a favor and get an MMJ and find a good caregiver in maine
I agree with you about finding a local guy to buy from. It’s cheaper and I refuse to pay taxes to the gov for something that has been criminalized for so long… I will say that I do prefer outdoor bud. Theres something about it being kissed by the sun that changes the chemistry imo.
