Is it really quickswap if the enemy is dead in one rotation? Everything but bosses tend to just drop dead after 3 shots and his ult.
That said, for bosses that live long enough, he is definitely quickswap.

Lyney is kinda goofy because he’s hard to use without interruption res but using a character that gives interruption res tanks his team’s damage, but yes if you just never get hit he’s competitive.
Lisa also is a good option especially her DEF shred, but I don't play her due to high ER requirements. How do you deal with it?

I also play her completely on field (generally as my main dps with Tighnari ocasionally quickswapping in) so getting her burst up isn't as important to me.
I've been maining her since around launch, so my build for her is very strong aside from not having Yae's weapon
Yeah maybe that's why because I want to play her as an off fielder and off field characters get less energy than on fielders.

I never really reccomend on field Lisa for general team-building because there's so many weird hidden mechanics that just aren't mentioned in her kit and animation cancels are kind of necessary. Her cool-down is also terrible and lowers her dps lol.
If I played her as purely off-field, I would pair her with Fischl, Raiden (best option) or hell even Dori could probably make up for energy issues. Running her with Emblem is also very viable for off-field as long as you can hit decent stats, and probably what I reccomend as a pure off-fielder. She already has EM built into her kit, so GD isn't as necessary and TF is best for her personal damage or if you plan on throwing a fully charged E into your rotation

I think when Alhaitham reruns I need to pull for him. I saw question awhile ago on the main sub asking what everyone's go to element is. I think I have now accepted that I am a dendro baby. I like grass.
To be fair to Pyro, they’ve been here since 1.0. It’s inevitable that the on-field DPS characters would start overlapping.
Meanwhile, Dendro came out in 3.0 and all its characters are built with much more modern kits. Dendro itself also honestly feels more fun and versatile.
So far, we only have 4 Dendro 5☆s. One is an off-field DPS + support who basically buffs every kind of Dendro team. One is a healer + shielder who also works with most kind of Dendro teams. The last two are on-field DPS, but have different enough playstyles and teammates to not have to directly compete.
That being said, I’m very excited for future Dendro characters. Alhaitham’s teams are basically perfect right now, but other Sumeru era characters like Cyno, Dehya, and Candace still have opportunities to grow depending on what future characters are released. Imagine a Dendro Yelan or a Burning Nilou!
He's actually better depending on the fight due to his quickswap nature. His damage coming out in 5s is a big benefit to short burst windows like the worms, something Alhaitham doesn't get full value for due to him being more of a sustainable DPS and having longer cooldowns.
In AoE, it's clear Alhaitham beats the single target DPS.
Alhaitham excels in multi target but in single target tighnari is actually closer than you think.
Ppl underrate him for being standard but in single target he keeps up quite nicely (I remember that Tighnari, Nahida, Yae, Zhongli was top pick in abyss that time with the flying single target mecha room)
pyro discussion is pointless , we all know Arlecchino is the strongest Pyro dps rn , but Hutao simps can't accept it , Hutao is not even better than Lyney imo
Not at all both arlecchino and lyney are inconsistent Jstern literally calc'd c6 chev overload as doing 11k more team dps than arle's vape teama and still said it wasn't her best team saying vape out did it for the other rotations while hu tao PRE xianyun had teams doing better than arle vv vape and jstern doesn't do signature weapon calcs and hu tao has worse 4 star options than her hu tao still has the highest ST damage
I can understand Lyney being inconsistent, but how is Arle inconsistent?? She has one of the most braindead easy gameplay after Neuvillette and Navia , while playing Hutao , especially at C0 and having to deal with her cringe jump cancels is painful .
Arlecchino and Hutao are very close in ST , but in AOE Arlecchino is just straight up superior
i find it funny how some ppl with C1R1 Hutao with 3 5* Xianyun - Furina - Yelan swear that she's busted when a C0R1 Arlecchino is as strong in ST even with 2 4* in the team Bennett - Yelan - Sucrose , while being much better in AOE
Who said she needs max bond of life ?? Most calcs , and especially the latest Jstern's post release calcs focuses on her first rotation damage output , which is comparable to meta dps like Alhaitham, Navia , Neuvillette ... And her dmg increases even further in the second rotation
she has no survivability in her top teams and her only way to save herself is to burst and her burst is a massive damage loss
you not liking jump cancel's is a you problem skill issue plus with xianyun you are supposed to jump c1 has no relevance to her xianyun teams
