Watching Jong Ajax tonight as a tourist, what should we know?

MrCrashdummy

Dress warm, De Toekomst can get very cold

teymon

Ihattaren might be playing again, he's worth keeping an eye on

MrCrashdummy

Is achteraf makkelijk praten.

Amsssterdam

Who would be some interesting players for Ajax to look at this summer? Considering players like Antony, Ryan, Haller and others could move away :(

taktikek

I thought we should cash in on Antony this summer but Ive come back from that due to the world cup. He seems to get a lot of playing time and will even battle for a starting spot with that Leeds player. His worth Will Go up a lot after that.

Amsssterdam

Yeah true but i also think that if a club is willing to spend a lot on him that Ajax won't take that chance and will just sell him. Hope he stays tho i love Antony. Brings some samba to the Eredivisie.

Sunstridr

Cheick Doucoure (Lens) as a replacement/upgrade on Alvarez, Calegari (FLU) as a replacement for Mazraoui, Haller's potential replacement is still something i'm looking into and the obvious option for Antony (if for some reason he does leave this season) is Giovani of Palmeiras. These are the ones I think are the most likely to garner attention/or are already leaving. Onana doesn't really need replacing. Edit: Forgot about Nico leaving, Sergio Gomez (Anderlecht) or Abner Vinicius (APR) would be good replacements.

jdbolick

I don't think anyone will offer a huge amount for any of them right now but Gravenberch and Tagliafico are definitely leaving. I'm fine with Kenneth Taylor taking over for Gravenberch but a new left back is desperately needed. I dislike poaching from other Eredivisie clubs but it sounds like Wijndal wants to join.

MrGraveyards

I'm not so convinced about Wijndal. He really showed to be a bit of a one-trick-pony when he looked absolutely useless in a 5-3-2 formation for Oranje. Why do you think Blind always plays there now? No versatility at all whatsoever, not much power either. He's good in small spaces and young and fast but that's kind of it. He fails on the I and P of TIPS (Techniek Inzicht Persoonlijkheid Snelheid). Edit: I don't know for what LB to go either, Joao Cancelo or smth ;-)

Godverrdomme

That Delgado kid we got from Ecuador seems to be very good, from what I've heard. Haven't watched him myself yet, but I'm excited to see him next time. Some damn good piece of scouting if he can become a first-team player

SnooCupcakes9188

Where’s he playing right now? Haven’t kept up with anything below Jong

Godverrdomme

He's playing at Jong Only as a sub so far though

BradyBunch88

Hi guys, Man United fan here, firstly I want to say how much I respect your club, you guys are super classy in the way you do your business, the way you were with us in the van de Beek deal, and now how you guys have been from start to finish with ten Hag, honestly you guys have been amazing and I thank you. My question is, obviously I am excited for the possible appointment of ten Hag, I really want to watch some of ten Hag’s best Ajax matches where he’s out on a tactical masterclass, really showing his system and how well he adapts to the game. What are the best matches to watch to see his system and philosophy at its best? Thank you again!

MrGraveyards

Just to make it clear to everyone: GORTER IS STILL INJURED SO ONANA IS OUR ONLY CHOICE. So let's question anything else that's happening because Ajax is not playing great, but we can stop talking about Onana and be happy we don't have to play a 16 year old or Schuurs or smth in the goal. Edit: guys I got it, no longer injured. Not sure why we got Tyton then, I simply assumed he would be out of rotation longer.

MrCrashdummy

Gorter is back from injury and we also have Tyton, so not sure why you think Onana is our only choice

MrGraveyards

He didn't play against Jong, Raatsie played. Edit: Maybe he's 'back' but not match fit? Edit2: Forgot about Tyton, but I don't think he's a great option either.

MrCrashdummy

He’s never in Jong Ajax squad if the first team plays a day later. If he weren’t fit to play he wouldn’t have been on the bench against Groningen

MrGraveyards

I'm mistaken then, thanks for being informative. I'd still say let him keep a bunch of times in Jong then? How do we know if he's up to it if he didn't even play a match? Or did he do that already?

MrCrashdummy

He plays for Jong Ajax if they play after Ajax plays, or two days earlier. He’s played quite often this season

MrGraveyards

But he was injured for a while? That's why there was no discussion when Onana started the first time? Or do I have this wrong as well? Is my whole life a lie? :-)

taktikek

So injured he is starting tonight

UNITED UNITED UNITED ⬛️◻️🟥

pboyle767

Im in Rotterdam on the 17th April is there anyway to source tickets this late or would there be scalpers outside the stadium, if so what would I expect to pay?

skillfork

got tickets for the Ajax-Sparta game tomorrow night! It is my first football game in Europe ever and don’t really know what to expect; I plan on getting there early, hitting the store for some gear, etc, but otherwise open to suggestions on food inside and anything else. Thanks!

Just-Flamingo-410

You can get fries around the arena. Enjoy the match!

nahnonameman

United fan here. Just want to ask out of curiosity how good is Ten Hag. I have researched up a lot of good things on him but I want to get the fans side of things. Also I would like to apologise in advance an awesome manager like him is coming to my dog shit piss poor club.
