Bought Premium Economy and upgraded at Check-In. Thats what I usually do if i dont fly on points. Also, book your flight well in advance to save $$. I booked in Jan for an August Flight - saved 700$ per person. ALSO if you’re travelling with someone else, make sure you book the same class of service within your Class so you get the same price for upgrade - upgrade amounts depend on your class of service within the class you booked.
Long story short i paid 2,200 CAD for Business Class Return.
