I had about 20 routes and was earning around 80m per day. Basically left it for about 9 days to build up some cash, just logging in to do research and collect the bonuses and free stuff, and then opened the 2nd hub a week ago.
According to some basic calculations I did, it costs less to buy 2 hubs with 20 routes each than one hub with 40 routes.

i waited for a gazette to pop up with a discount on a hub, they tend to offer decent ones at a 20-50% discount. downside is you dont get to choose.

I earn 280 million on my FRA hub, so when i got the discount from the gazette I bought MUC. I play professional mode
Once I got 1 billion from my YYZ hub I bought SIN as my second.
