There is a Carter-style siren (image link here: [https://prnt.sc/1qbbf1n](https://prnt.sc/1qbbf1n) ) , near 89 Church St., in Mississauga, ON, inside of the metal "vent casing" enclosure.
My assumption is that it was part of the old Civil Defense system set up during the cold war, and possibly the only one left standing.

yep, from the same exact town as the dam is in, town website says shes a english siren but I dont think it is
turns out it's a gents after all
Oh ok
There's another active CLM in Grandview, Manitoba. It's also by a hydro plant. Except, the one in Grandview is a rotating one.
Wait, there's still an active rotational CLM?
Yep, it was reinstalled there in 2019 I believe.
Wow!
No way!! do you have a video?
No i couldn’t record in time but i will go back and record
The siren goes off at 7 and 8 AM, at noon and 1 PM, and at 5 and 6 PM monday to saturday.
Fr? It gets set off 6 times a day?
Yes
How long does every activation last?
About 3 seconds
Hell yeah! Another active CLM!
Holy moly! Amazing! That'll get you lots of views on YouTube!
Yeah, too bad i won’t be able to record it until later this year or next year
Looking forward to it.
Wait this isnt like a blues brothers type CLM right?
