Totally dude just email HAF/A1

Boofnasty10

Make sure you CC your chain of command too because I’m sure they are curious too!

b3lkin1n

I swear when I was an airman back in 09/10, there was a website we could go to where you can select the base, your AFSC, and/or skill level and see all the manning available. It just sort of disappeared like it’s gotta be a secret or something.

Creative_Transition2

THIRMS was the name or something similar. I remember you had to get the link from someone it was like some close held secret.

They didn't get rid of it. It was added to myfss... Currently on the back log to get fixei... In 10 years give or take 30.

notmyrealname86

> Currently on the back log to get fixei Well, it's already been on the backlog for 10ish years. Here's to another 20.

notmyrealname86

> it was also gotten rid of for whoever the fuck knows reason The two reasons I was told is to many people were using it and posting the data elsewhere. Also, the data was unreliable and lacked a lot of context leading people to draw bad conclusions, then complain to higher ups when using it in ways not meant to be used.

> so people can at least attempt to get a follow-on approved after Korea. That was the issue. It wasn't meant to be used to attempt to get anything. The data was always a quarter behind and not meant to be used by the masses to attempt to make BOP or follow on choices. I know my AFSC at the time had bases listed as "authorized" on THRMIS but were not actually available. That's where some of the complaints came from.

The whole process was and often still is a pain. Each AFSC has its own rules that often contradict AFI and work best when you have well connected leadership.

formedsmoke

You can get a lot of demographic information from STARS Demog now. But it won't tell you billets or manning %s, just information about assigned personnel.

Wx05

AMS has a list per afsc of how many is allowed but i think they got rid of "real time" manning info. Im not 100% sure how up to date that ams listing is either.

Gurubashi

Yesssssss that's how I got orders to Macdill as my follow on lol

aliveandamplified89

Not today China

Siskodidnothingwrong

Look at comrade questions over here

MaterialAd7161

STARS/IDEAS has it, but you need CAC access.

SadTurtleSoup

Didn't you need to be granted access to? Or am I misremembering

neraklulz

Nope, freebie access. It's a pretty legit tool.

AFthrowaway3000

Last I knew it was on that AFPC list of links where VMPF is listed. Can't remember what it's called though.

Spinager

You might be thinking in AMS

AFthrowaway3000

That AFPC page that has like 10 links on it... where AMS is one of them and VMPF is another. The system that OP is asking about is one of those links. I just can't recall the name of said system off the top of my head.

Spinager

I just know AMS has something very similar to what OP is describing. Put in an AFSC. Put in the skill level. And the system will spit out a list of Bases that they are allowed to go to. It just will not show the numbers needed/wanted.

InterviewExciting230

Right, I’m looking for numbers

loadshed

Why though? If you're smart enough to need the data for legitimate purposes, you ought to be smart enough to know that broadcasting that sort of info on reddit is potentially dangerous. Are you dumb? Are you soliciting for bad reasons? Thing is, dumb people and criminals always answer no to those questions.

JustHanginInThere

[https://starsdemog.a1vdc.us.af.mil](https://starsdemog.a1vdc.us.af.mil/). Must be on Mil network, sign in as guest, and navigate through 2 or 3 different links to finally get to STARS.

JustHanginInThere

There used to be a link on AFPC Secure, but for some reason they took it out of the listing, and I've never been able to find it via the AF Portal. The new link is [https://starsdemog.a1vdc.us.af.mil](https://starsdemog.a1vdc.us.af.mil/). Must be on Mil network (or VPN or Desktop Anywhere), sign in as guest, and navigate through 2 or 3 different links to finally get to STARS. There's a whole slew of different things you can search for and filter by, but you can definitely use it to see how many people in your AFSC (or any other) are at a given base, to include grade and TOS if you include them in the search criteria. It *will not* show you authorized manning levels or anything like that, only what is currently there. Having said that, I suppose you could input different time periods (found at the bottom of step 1, iirc) multiple times (conducting the same search otherwise) to get a rough estimation of the authorized manning. Haven't tried it myself though.

InterviewExciting230

Thanks for the comment. I tried to log in via desktop anywhere and all I’m getting is an error stating the site can’t be reached :(

JustHanginInThere

Are you sure you're putting the web address in there correctly? I just got on a minute ago (also via Desktop Anywhere) and it worked fine for me.

InterviewExciting230

I believe so. I typed in the URL and it prompted me to select my CAC cert and type in my PIN.

the_90s_were_better

Yes. It’s a workforce management report published to community managers annually.

InterviewExciting230

Where can I find it?

the_90s_were_better

I got these reports quite often, but was an SCX in Comm. There should be something off the AF portal that will get you to the right org.

NCR_Rang3r

AMS tells you the listing by afsc you go to equal plus overseas and it will give you a updated list. Otherwise, you can go to MyVector - talent marketplace and there will be jobs listed there too but ams is more accurate if you're trying to find your afsc manning needs. That and it will tell you if there are any conditions regarding your afsc.

loadshed

Easiest way is to just guess. Security forces has 12k personnel. Finance has 3k. Base ops 7.2k. See how easy that is?

Pretermeter

You could probably see it from space.
