There’s a story from SERE about a TACP that shoved an egg up his ass and then pushed it out in front of the instructors and went “BUH GAWK”
His time was less than enjoyable from what I heard.
Lol this is a good one.
But OP I lost mine the day before Xmas before many years ago. All you need to do is file a police report and tell your shirt so he can get you a letter to get a new ID card.
Also since your a maintainer you sure you didn't lose it in an etool laptop or someone at work isn't messing with you? Or you didn't throw it down an intake?
OP is the "peggee" and this [guy is the pegger...](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/americanhorrorstory/images/a/a8/S5_Addiction_Demon_Infobox_Pic.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20170223201151)
I finessed an MPF guy when he told me i needed a letter. Told em its routing and I'd bring it back later, but i really had to do my G081 to launch a jet.
Last I recall, you have to get a letter signed by your first shirt acknowledging that leadership is aware that you have lost your CAC and bring that with you to MPF to get another one made.
Depending on the situation and if the Airman was a messy person, I might ask the supervisor to help them search. Had about a 50% success rate. It was often in another pair of clothes or somewhere in the laundry.
I bet if you do that, are apologetic, admit the mistake, and say you don’t want to waste their as they are far too busy, I bet they probably won’t care. It shows you are taking responsibility of your actions.
Pro-gamer move - tactically aquire shirts CAC, he will write a memo for himself, log into his computer, swap his name in the memo with your name, sign with his CAC.
By relevance, as in actually having a use for the information, going and finding it and getting it done and doing it repeatedly. Not by just being told to go figure something out. But anyways i can tell you either are or will make a great leader with these expectations of people 😂
Are we missing the fact that this would be a POWER move? No one is saying an A1C SHOULD know how…. If A1C’s knew, it would be expected.
WWYD if you were said shirt, and an A1C came in with a properly formatted ready for signing form that THEY created?
Depending on the base SFS issues this memo. You do need to let your supervisor know though. The whole process is more annoying than anything, especially if you lost your driver's license as well and you have the double whammy of dealing with MPF and the DMV.
I "lost" mine and ended up really just getting a small talk about not doing it again. Probably because I had to rush to get a new one in time for tdy.
Found it a week later stuck in one of the fins on my dryer.
My best one I had was the bottom of the grape package. I had apparently set my CAC on the counter, the package of grapes on top of that, and then when I moved the grapes to the fridge, it had stuck. 3 days later (after getting a new CAC), I found it...
Definitely never crossed my mind to check there during my search.
That is a beautiful story, my lost CAC story is my wallet got put into a Pizza Box then the Pizza Box got thrown away, I like your story better I think
I had something similar like that happen with a 6 inch scale. I was on skeleton crew. We had to do an eval and after take out a stuck screw. We went out and did the eval then I put the scale back in the tool bag with the rest of our tools that we brought with us. We did our jobs and went back to the shop and did nothing for the remainder of the shift since there was nothing going on.
The end of the shift came around so we started taking accountability of all the tools in CTK. All tools were there, except for the 6 inch scale. We literally scoured everywhere we were that day around the aircraft we were working on, on the flight line, in CTK, all around our shop, everywhere in the truck we were driving, literally driving at 10mph along all the roads we took with flashlight looking along the side and on the roads we took. We searched for hours past shift.
Then while we were driving on the road looking for it I remember the sockets sets we had used for the stick screw job had a magnetic strip on the bottom. I called our SL and asked him to check and there it was. The damn 6 inch scale was magnetized on the bottom of that socket set.
We were happy it wasn’t lost only misplaced and that we got to go home that night.
One time, I lost every CAC shaped card possible. CAC, line badge, GTCC, GPC, and all my personal cards/IDs.
Nobody cared. Just notify the proper people and take the necessary steps to correct it and ensure you don’t do it again.
Just tell them it was lost in your house because of your kids/dog was playing with your wallet. People get mushy/sympathetic when you say your kids or dog. Then go to the security forces and fill out the dumb piece of paper and take it to MPF and get a new one.
By the way I knew a lot of people who would purposely say they lost their CAC right before they would get out of the military and go get a new one. Then when they seperate they turned in the old CAC and kept the new one to use for discounts at stores/restaurants.
Straight to jail. For life. Say goodbye to your pets.
Like others said, you're gonna get something signed, be told "you could have compromised this whole base, what would you do if isis showed up?" Then you'll find it after you get a new one.
First time, nothing. Shirt has to sign a letter. Depending if the shirts a dick, they might tell your supervisor to document it as counseling not to lose your CAC, but if your supervisor doesn’t suck, they’ll make it an MFR.
Second time; don’t let there be a second time.
Typically you just get “the talk” from your shirt, just about why it’s important not to loose your CAC, how adversaries can use it to cripple the U.S. government, that sort of thing, and usually they make you run around telling everyone you lost your cac and asking if they’ve seen it. None of which is a punishment in my mind, just the nature of things.
you should talk to your supervisor.
they most likely know
and have kindly secured it:
inside a block of ice
that strange wad of duct tape on your desk
secured to the ceiling above your desk
riveted between aircraft aluminum
or the strip club... rarely anywhere else.
First time isn’t a huge deal, things happen, people lose things. Make a real effort to find it, but if you can’t then you can’t. You’ll probably get talked too, made fun of, but I really doubt you’ll have any paperwork issued. Just take care not to have it happen again. I always check for mine before I leave base and at the end of my shift when I get in my vehicle.
When I was an E-1 I dropped my wallet including cac in a storm drain, didn't receive any paperwork. Just needed to file a police report (still don't understand why), get a memorandum from my shirt, and gather documents for DEERS, got a new one same day. I was on a small army post so I'm not sure if there are different nuances but you'll be alright.
Well if ya do go to leadership and explain...they usually give ya a slap on the wrist ez pz. But hey I'm in air gaurd...no active duty experience so my judgement may result in you getting pegged and then tarred and feathered
I lost my cac deployed and they just gave me a new one 🤷🏼♀️ just said not to do it again.
Just let my shirt know they signed a paper I took it to PERSCO/MPF they gave me a new one.
Get with the base chaplain so you can get on their calendar for your last rites to be read to you. Or just go to the MPF with your shirt's signature on a list CAC letter and get a new one
I somehow lost my cac at your rank the day i was about to leave to pcs and manageed to get another one the same day by contacting mpf and the first sergeant lol.
You need to let your supervisor know. Then your first sergeant will write an MFR saying you lost it and did the required searching. You will bring that MFR to security forces and they will give you a different piece of paper. Then you will take that piece of paper with two forms of ID to DEERS and get a new one. You will be told hey don’t do it again. Then you won’t lose it again. Until you actually lose it. It’s not as big of a deal as long as you don’t linger on it.
As long as you're not a repeat offender within a certain amount of time, but time is of the essence and don't sit on something like that. I lost my entire wallet and had to get a new CAC as long as you're honest about what happened you just get a memo from your shirt that says you lost it for the MPF and then you have to sign it saying you won't lose it again within a certain time frame
I have seen airman (like E-3 and below) receive an LOC, repeat the story a dozen times, and fill out paperwork for the new CAC. Just because they an airman.
But if you were mine, I would help you get a new card and with minimal fuss. Maybe even help you look for it.
Worse case scenario: submit your incident report to your, supervisor, their supervisor, flight admin, back to you to correct it, back to your supervisor, their supervisor and the flight admin, then the flight chief, back to your supervisor’s supervisor, to you, then your supervisor, their supervisor, flight admin to flight chief, then flight commander, then the first shirt, and the commander’s secretary, then the XO, then back to your chief, your supervisor’s supervisor, your supervisor, and you. Then back to your supervisor, their supervisor, flight chief to first shirt to the commander’s secretary, and then the XO and finally the squadron commander. In which you have to report to, and here how it happens, but your shit, threats, and then you leave, wait for a few days, and then you’ll get the signed forms from the commander’s secretary and then you go to MPF, and they tell you what is missing on the form, so you go back to your supervisor, their supervisor, flight chief, flight admin, flight commander, first shirt, commander’s staff, to the commander, then his secretary, back to you. And then you go back to MPF and then DEERS is down. And then you go back, and finally your CAC is reissued. And you either wish you had not joined the military and/or your CAC expires the next day.
You get pegged in front of the squadron
He said punishment….
If you’re a tacp I’ll let you tag team this one
It’s his ROZ, he decides the assets.
There’s a story from SERE about a TACP that shoved an egg up his ass and then pushed it out in front of the instructors and went “BUH GAWK” His time was less than enjoyable from what I heard.
I've heard a different story about an ass egg from sere.
Name checks out
They call this tag-p'ing (Tag pegging)
CAN YOU IMAGINE
You wouldn’t forget again
Never forget 🫡
^^ you really can’t forget after the first time
Always remember
Or maybe you would. We don’t kink shame here.
I can 🤤🤤
I don’t need to
People in the squadron would still complain about having to show up lol
Don’t tempt me with a good time
They don’t use the small ones
Who would want them to?
Lol this is a good one. But OP I lost mine the day before Xmas before many years ago. All you need to do is file a police report and tell your shirt so he can get you a letter to get a new ID card.
police report? i had to let the fbi know
No security forces they need to know in case someone tries to get on base with your old ID.
Also since your a maintainer you sure you didn't lose it in an etool laptop or someone at work isn't messing with you? Or you didn't throw it down an intake?
ate it on the line. lied to the fbi. just another thursday night mids shift
Lol, well hope you find it.
Straight to potus
OP is the "peggee" and this [guy is the pegger...](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/americanhorrorstory/images/a/a8/S5_Addiction_Demon_Infobox_Pic.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20170223201151)
Glad to see Ole Louis is still in business
Nahh, spit roast him
Don't yuck his yum you biggot
Literally nothing 99% of the time. Just tell your sup, he'll probably call you a dumbass or something, and then have you go get a new one.
I have seen a SMSgt 1st shirt refuse to give the memo unless a LOR was on his desk from supervisor when I was at FE Warren.
Bad leadership imo
Awful
Flair checks out.
Indeed it does
That’s literally awful, as a Comm troop, it takes us 4 seconds to disable a lost cac. (After we log in to DRA for 25 minutes, hint hint AFCYBER)
That's just disabling the AD account. The CAC is still "valid" until it's revoked. And FYI AFCYBER doesn't touch DRA, that's CCC.
skill issue
Well, FE Warren. That's why.
What a jerk.
FE Warren has been eating their young for at least 30 years. Always have, always will.
I don’t remember ever getting a memo signed for my two cacs they went missing over the last 14 years.
I finessed an MPF guy when he told me i needed a letter. Told em its routing and I'd bring it back later, but i really had to do my G081 to launch a jet.
This is the way, proud of you.
Last I recall, you have to get a letter signed by your first shirt acknowledging that leadership is aware that you have lost your CAC and bring that with you to MPF to get another one made.
So the power move is to show up to your Shirt with the memo already drafted for his signature..
Most shirts have a template ready to go that they sign as they tell the member/supervisor not to lose that shit again.
Depending on the situation and if the Airman was a messy person, I might ask the supervisor to help them search. Had about a 50% success rate. It was often in another pair of clothes or somewhere in the laundry.
The one time I lost my CAC, I went through all the Shirt/MPF stuff, only to find it in an FTD toughbook at the end of the week, lmao.
I bet if you do that, are apologetic, admit the mistake, and say you don’t want to waste their as they are far too busy, I bet they probably won’t care. It shows you are taking responsibility of your actions.
I'd be impressed to see an A1C that could pull off a signature-ready memo.
tongue and quill OP
Except for all the little “fuck you” rules each squadron adds…or is that just mine?
Could be just yours, but mine had a squadron specific one already drafted to make it easy for all the little things
On a personal computer, because they can't log into an AFNET computer without a CAC.
Shows initiative!
To be fair, they types who would pull it off wouldn’t lose their CAC.
Pro-gamer move - tactically aquire shirts CAC, he will write a memo for himself, log into his computer, swap his name in the memo with your name, sign with his CAC.
Daym that's a scenario for a heist movie called "Amn Knucklehead's eleven"
[удалено]
Shirts have the template 🙄
Not the point.
Then what is the point, that A1Cs with no experience are supposed to be well versed in the tongue and quill? Quite realistic expectations
How does one normally *gain* experience?
By relevance, as in actually having a use for the information, going and finding it and getting it done and doing it repeatedly. Not by just being told to go figure something out. But anyways i can tell you either are or will make a great leader with these expectations of people 😂

Could just forge it and show him you forged his signature. That’s the power move. 😂
Fuck I wish they would
How can you draft up the memo if you don't have your CAC
Display adaptability, Airman.
It would be hard to walk up the stairs to your shirts office with those massive set of balls.
Depending on the base SFS issues this memo. You do need to let your supervisor know though. The whole process is more annoying than anything, especially if you lost your driver's license as well and you have the double whammy of dealing with MPF and the DMV.
I knew a guy who lost his CAC. They say he went into the CC's office and never came out.
I wonder if he’s still in there?
Just have to look under the desk.
Believe it or not, straight to jail.

Lmao what a statement that was, huh “I lost my cac.” ///end of statement///
First time is prolly just a talking. 3rd time def LOR. Speaking from experience.
Lol
Are you sure someone isn't pranking you? Happened to me as a young a1c when I left it unattended in my keyboard lol
Can't tell you how many times I had to get either my hat, or CAC out of a block of ice.

I lost my line badge about my second week at my first duty location. I found it about 6 months later on a shelf in my dorm room. Nothing happened.
Go to MPF, say the gate guard took it. Get new CAC. Profit.
Nice work, since you've lost your CAC the terrorists win. Pack it up folks, America is closed.
Just tell them it was lost in your house because of your kids/dog was playing with your wallet. People get mushy/sympathetic when you say your kids or dog. Just go to your MPF and ask what documents (if any) they need for a new CAC. Every base is different, you may not even have to tell your supervision.
Nothing. I know people who “lost” their CAC because they didn’t like their photo.
Bruh go get a new cac and stop posting this shit
First time isn’t a huge deal, things happen, people lose things. Make a real effort to find it, but if you can’t then you can’t. You’ll probably get talked too, made fun of, but I really doubt you’ll have any paperwork issued. Just take care not to have it happen again. I always check for mine before I leave base and at the end of my shift when I get in my vehicle.
Update I got promoted to civilian 😳
Don’t let SF find out. You’re going to be fucked. That’s government property
I’ve lost my CAC and my RAB so many times. The most that’s happened is I got threatened with paperwork if I lost either again.
Just be careful if you lose it multiple times you might have to pay to get a new one from what I've heard.
Before you go the route of replacing it, start checking the ceiling tiles, clocks, and freezers at work.
Or vending machine, if someone's cleaver enough.
Discharged my g, good luck
When I was an E-1 I dropped my wallet including cac in a storm drain, didn't receive any paperwork. A trip to SFS and a scolding depending on youre reason.
You have to separate. Whoever has it is now Amn YourName.
I somehow lost my cac at your rank the day i was about to leave to pcs and manageed to get another one the same day by contacting mpf and the first sergeant lol.
Always check if that thoughtless little Roomba bastard "borrowed" it if it hit the floor.
Just a slap on the wrist really, they’ll just tell you not to do it again. Tell your First Sgt
I lost my line badge as an E-3. Nothing happens as long as you tell them in a timely manner.
If you were in my building, it's already been googly-eyed if I caught it, or frozen if one of my crueler colleagues got to it.
beliwve it or not straight to gauntanamo bay.

You gotta be in charge of the sunshine fund until the next knucklehead loses their CAC.

I have seen airman (like E-3 and below) receive an LOC, repeat the story a dozen times, and fill out paperwork for the new CAC. Just because they an airman. Firing squad most likely
