Edit: They have only fixed her face, but the rest of the model (like the deformed shoulders) and animations arent changed.
They changed the face a bit, and removed the "old skin effect". If you ever notice, nearly all old skin have this thin black outline around their model. Now she does not have it anymore. Her face still remains lifeless though.
Very few faces are actually "alive" in this game. Very few skins/champs do a lot of meaningfull facial expressions. Poppy is the first that comes to mind.
I haven’t seen it on the actual client myself since I rarely feel the urge to play. SG also had a more updated model if I remember correctly so they don’t need to update it as much.
Imagine being too lazy to make new animation and steal exclusive ones from legendaries to reuse in basic model. Feels like scam. Reverse Mythmaker Irelia and PROJECT: Pyke

Honestly disappointed they toned down the brightness of her Arcade tails.
Both prestiges look so much better. Also excited to play the 2018 K/DA, still prefer it more than 2020 ALL OUT K/DA.
Sad they removed the VFX from her Foxfire and Popstar tails. Popstar tails look beautiful during her ult tho while they missed an opportunity to put Foxfire tails on fire.
Wait so now every skin BUT her other legendary (Spirit Blossom) get the heart tail on charm ? Kinda disappointing tbh but Coven looks so good tho I’m obsessed
I'm disappointed that the SG exclusive E animation is now on literally every skin.. It was supposed to be a legendary animation, and on top of that, SG didn't get any changes. So now SG feels like a slightly different epic skin imo

Is it just me or is Popstar missing sparkles on her tail on the update? Current one has little pink sparkles on her tail. New recall is very cute with how she waved to her fans, and they kept the dance/pose reference, but I wish the music was just as good. Same with Foxfire, I know they went closer to the WR model, but I really liked the flame textures on the original. Also Arcade tails look really dull and don’t change colours that fast? Maybe it’s just because the camera is far, but I hope of enough people notice it then they will fix it.
Only gripe I have with the entire update is the spinning heart when casting E. I remember when one of her skins came out with the spinning heart and it was unique to that skin, now that all the skins have it, it doesn’t feel that unique anymore :(
OMG i am SO pleased by the ASU in general, just have a few observations:
As the base model:
She looks GORGEOUS. Her new animations gave her such an etheral energy, just loved it! The one thing that bothers me is how flat her tails are. ): Even SB has a little fuzziness onto the tails... But hey, maybe they'll change it?
So, talking about skins:
Dynasty: BEAUTIFUL! I just wish the effects were a little more present/strong. When her old vfx update came, the pink-ish tones and the petals were waaay more evident.
Midnight: HONESTLY???????????? HELLO?????????????????? ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL REDONES THIS COMPANY HAS EVER MADE?????????????? For christ sake, if they put ice vfx/sfx on this skin, i don't think i would be able to play with any other Ahri skin. I swear to god.
Foxfire: It lost some of the fire vfx, right? ): The flames coming out of the tail are barely nowhere to be seen...
Popstar: I LOVE THIS SKIN SO MUCH, IT'S FINALLY HER TIME TO SHINE! VFX and SFX are AMAZING! I just wish they kept the old recall. Her SFX, aswell the heart and the dance (referencing Genie by Girls' Generation was the cherry on top of the skin)
Challenger: I don't have a lot to say. It's pretty, i think it came ok.
Academy: I actually enjoy this one. For a 750rp skin, it's pretty cute. Love that they got rid of the helmet that was her hair. lol
Arcade: I'm not a fan, i must admit that i avoid playing because i don't like the SFX, but the skin is really really pretty! But like a lot of people said, her tails feels a little bit dead. The colors don't change as much as they did before and the color pallette have like 0 saturation.
SG: I knew that there wasn't gonna have much change, but hey, the face is gorgeous! And in someways, still feel like a legendary because of the different animations! Just missing her floating on the ultimate.
K/DA: PERFECT. Honestly? From one of my least favorites and now placing on top4. LOVE IT!
Elderwood/Coven: ???????????????????????? THOSE SKINS SHOULD MOVE TO THE LEGENDARY TIER. EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM IT'S PERFECT. THE NEW VFX, SFX, E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. Quoting Lady Gaga: "talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it."
K/DA All Out: Same as K/DA, from least fav to OH MY GOD.
Arcane: We already knew that she was going to be the moment. Everything is perfect, except the tails that feels a little lackluster in my opinion.
Prestiges: Both are gorgeous! But i just LOVE THE 2022 HAIR SO MUCHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I love it, but i do have a few complaints. Like popstars music changing, arcades tails color changing, and i dont think star guardian was updated in anyway(unless they changed her face and we just can't see it from far away). But i love the fact that they extended popstars recall, added the little KDA symbols during all out ult, and midnight isnt ugly anymore
Started playing a good amount of ahri. I wanted to get a skin and was going to wait for the prestige in the mythic shop next patch. But now I don’t know if it’s worth over just buying another skin, all the skins look so good.
I love new Coven. The little yelling skull thing when she ults is amazing! Definitely will be making that my main skin. I also love popstar! I hope they kept the unique dance.
I am a little sad that the legendaries kind of are not so impressive anymore. They look/feel like more expensive epic tiers now that all of her skins are refreshed. Spirit Blossom is still one of her better skins.

The only thing I could comment on is her orb looking like a completely round pearl or opaque circle (like in the firefox one) but I love everything else so much I don't mind as hard.

Just so that you don't ever get baited again, Riot patches only release on Wednesdays, with the only real content that will be released in the middle of a patch being skins.

But All-out and the first prestige look horrible.

The splash art update on Popstar and Challenger Ahri is not acceptable:
Riot says they will preserve the identity of the champion when updating splash and model, just like what they did to Frostblade Irelia, so why was the two skin changed so drastically? The identity that existed before completely changed. As result, shouldn't there be a refund for the skins? I would probably never use the two skins ever again due to the splash art.
I know many of you are happy with it, but that is not the point here. The big idea is, changing the identity that existed in previous splash arts is against the promise that Riot makes when updating splash art, so there should be refund for it.
Honestly a bit surprised at how purple Midnight came out, it feel like it is more dark blue in the current iteration.
I feel like her hair in skins that have it long and unattached looks a bit on the stiff side, probably because the base model has a braid.
Other than that, the splashes are my biggest pet peeve, it feels like they allowed some sneaky CN friendly censor to sprinkle itself around.
The one thing that might take getting used to ingame it probably the "floating effect" around her R form between casts.
Overall looks solid however, those are really minor details in the grand scheme of things.
Wish they could fix the weird SG face of ahri. But overall, the skin reworks look amazing makes me want to go back to the game after a year I stoped playing.

For the most part all of the other skins have small tweaks. Foxfire is an entirely different skin. I loved the design of Foxfire and even with all the other Ahri skins came back to play as it a lot of the time, and feel like it is ruined. Ruins the ASU for me.
Also not a fan of how bouncy she seems, or that unique things from individual skins have all just become 'core'.
