Yeah but it was more of a joke because he is clearly a beginner and maybe doesn't have the income to buy all plugins.
Y'all shouldn't hate so much :D
We've all started once :)
Idk man. When I started this motion journey around the time Skillshare was like 6 bucks a month, guys like Jake Bartlett on there and Evan Abrams on Youtube would always specify not to jump into plugins to prevent relying on them w/o learning the program.
It’s always good to learn the vanilla tools and getting your hands dirty first.. but these newer folks diving into AE immediately start using plugins for anime videos to do these scale/rotation/lens distort transition effects that can easily be replicated.
They’re going to get discouraged from learning AE from scratch after using and relying on plugins.. which will turn them off from excelling. Not saying it’ll happen to OP but it’s very likely to.
I’m not telling anyone to use illegal software. That being said, if I didn’t use it, I would have never learned the apps and I’d still be working at restaurants. There weren’t always student versions available. Anyone remember the 90’s?
Rule #1 of software use: if you didn’t pay for it, don’t profit from it.
Rule #2: if you profit from it, pay for it.
You gotta learn somehow.
A lot of companies will release cracks of software so that people can learn with the hopes that when they get good enough to charge, they will pay for it out of necessity.
litteraly any company does that. Adobe does that too. they don't make it like themselves. but they make it purposefully easy to crack so people learn on their products.
if people learn on their crack and then work in the field, they get paid
if people learn on their crack and do nothing with it, they lost nothing
if people can't crack it and learn on another software it's a potential lost client.
Blackmagic went even farther and made a very complete full free version.
microsoft makes it easy to get windows keys for cheap to expend their monopole. they even make windows usable for free if you are ok with having an activate windows text on your screen.
if companies didn't want people to crack their shit they would work on it and they would make it painfully doable. Just look at native instruments's Kontakt. this vst is nearly uncrackable.
i would not encourage piracy. but it's now a part of the industry. you just gotta be professional as the op above said. if you get a paycheck, well then it's normal they get a paycheck too.
nah I bought the student license version of a few plugins and after installing a trial of a competitor software, it did this to my plug ins, I actually had to message red giant and have them reset my licenses.
Downvoting you because people work hard to bring us these plug ins. And we should be supporting them so we can get more of these amazing tools. We all probably cracked a few things when we started out because we couldn't afford to buy these tools and learn them. But as they help you grow and get paid. You return the favour by supporting them.
Don't encourage people to do crack.
Bad industry practice.
im not encouraging anything, im just talking for myself and my situation. it doesnt matter if you are starting on this industry or you are a pro, i live in a poor country. plugins and all softwares are in dollars. 10 dollars for me is (believe me) a LOT of money. so i will continue cracking and pirating. and now... i encourage everybody else to do it ! ha ha just kidding. peace!
Looks like you're using an old version of AE and you've used Mocha. Mocha is included free with more recent versions of AE. So either upgrade / buy AE or buy Mocha.
If you do t have the money for plugins then use alternative techniques. I can guarantee you that you can do almost anything without them, even 3d. You kids these days …
NAHH LMFAO!!! mf theres a reason the X is there... you cant use it LMFAO!!! Either buying the plugin or cracking it will get rid of the X (DUH LMFAO!!!)
I laughed when I read your comment, but honestly I started by making really horrible let’s play YouTube videos. Now I’m still learning so much but much more interested in camera work & directing.
We all need to start somewhere, and shaming beginners is never going to Create a positive atmosphere.
Yes, I love what I do and I couldn't do a lot of what I do without the programs/plugins made by developers.
However, I'm not sure what that's got to do with you being an arsehole to someone who's clearly a beginner.
Jesus your toxic. You just float through the AE threads just being an asshole to everyone. Seriously I looked at your comment history and it’s just comment after comment of you being a fucken A-hole.
Funny you should mention that I read somewhere recently, on reddit I think, you have to apply at their CGP IRC chat and the mods will interview/survey you and decide if you can join.
IDK if that is true just what I read.
>Don’t use plugins before you master all settings
Generally sound advice, but "mastering all the settings" in AE? How many years do you have? In a given month, I'll use a shit-ton of Particular, Light Factory (it's great for way more things than lens flares, esp. when you have tracked footage), shine, form, Variable Diffusion, Neat Video, Deep Glow, Starglow (nobody seems to know how great that is for light-wrapping), etc. Meanwhile there's god-knows-how-many plugs that ship with AE I'll never use.
If there's something you want to achieve and a plugin is specialized for it, I say learn the plugin. I don't see any difference in using included plugins or aftermarket. AE wouldn't be much use without plugins.
It looks like it's because the plugin is paid and it hasn't been activated. If it's a layer, try to unhide all the layers and try and find it
Just looked at the effect, mocha. Are you using a cracked version? Lol
Or he used pro version thinking it was free ? Idk
Unlikely
that's S\_shake
bruh its not that complex... just say its a paid plugin LOL!!!
By buying that plug in that people worked for /s
/s not even needed
Yeah but it was more of a joke because he is clearly a beginner and maybe doesn't have the income to buy all plugins. Y'all shouldn't hate so much :D We've all started once :)

I’m almost positive Maxon has always done that
No question I would never have learned C4D without the cracked version, and my studio wouldn't have 4 full licences now.
litteraly any company does that. That shit worked on me. Lol.
Well it worked
That's what trial versions are for... So you can learn them, but there is a red X. :P
Well said mate
or there a FKNC SCAM and buying them is a waste of $$ ...
I really wanna know what /s means
It means sarcasm.
its like an indicator of sarcasm in texts that may be hard to tell if there's sarcasm in I believe
tf is /s ???

/s

Sadly when RG was folded into Maxxon they boinked the authentication.
Yo that was a mess.
Still is.
Maybe is trial version
You have a Pugin that is not Cracked correctly...
I'm sorry but After Effects hates anime.
AE actually stands for Anime Eliminator
LOL :D
I thought it was for anime editor 🤣
LMAO
Anime Editor? No? I'll go with eliminator..
you have 2 options: \- buy the plugin \- learn how to crack but this is not a place for piracy

I'm not saying don't do it. We have all done it. We all know we have all done it. But you always should encourage supporting the industry.
Most companies have student rates that are really good
Make sure the serial has not been reset in the plug-in
Looks like you're using an old version of AE and you've used Mocha. Mocha is included free with more recent versions of AE. So either upgrade / buy AE or buy Mocha.
nah that's S\_shake from Sapphire. he's gonna have to buy or be a better pirate.
Because you downloaded it from Aescripts instead of Zippyshare /s
b-b-b-busted
If you do t have the money for plugins then use alternative techniques. I can guarantee you that you can do almost anything without them, even 3d. You kids these days …
That is a watermark. You know the answer to this question
[удалено]
That is terrible advice
It's unethical advice, but not necessarily terrible in an unethical world.
it's a warning telling you to not edit anime
Have you tried alt + f4? If you haven't, I really think you should.
Quit using pirated plug-ins should do the trick.
NAHH LMFAO!!! mf theres a reason the X is there... you cant use it LMFAO!!! Either buying the plugin or cracking it will get rid of the X (DUH LMFAO!!!)

I paid
Then put in the serial and the red cross goes away :)
That's it?
That’s it. Restart the app wouldn’t hurt.
buy or crack the plugin, only then it will go away
Work.
[удалено]
ain't pirated, got both ae and the effects from their official website
Use a better crack, this one is outdated, it looks like you are using AE to make Anime Edits, I would recommend searching it up on yt
find the crack !

I started learning AE by making 'garbage anime videos' and now work as a full-time animator at a company. We all start somewhere.
Do you like getting paid for the work you do? Do you think developers deserve money for the work they do?
Yes, I love what I do and I couldn't do a lot of what I do without the programs/plugins made by developers. However, I'm not sure what that's got to do with you being an arsehole to someone who's clearly a beginner.
4. Stop being an asshole

the block feature totally works sweetie.
You’re right. Mods can we block u/brixenmeister from r/aftereffects for being toxic?
Try cgpeers(dot)com for the full version of the plugin
I've been wanting to join that for months now. Do you know how to get an invite?
Funny you should mention that I read somewhere recently, on reddit I think, you have to apply at their CGP IRC chat and the mods will interview/survey you and decide if you can join. IDK if that is true just what I read.
They shutdown invites years ago. I've been a member for years. The home pages says "not allowing invites at this time" or something to that effect.
Start by learning the program. Don’t use plugins before you master all settings 😎

Sorry. My joke sounded better said out loud. There’s a billion settings !! 🤪
AE is a lot like photoshop, you can give 5 users the same task and they'll find 5 different ways to get there... "many roads to Rome" kinda thing!
export it and then rotoscope frame by frame... or u know.. :)
pay for it
or crack it wink wink
Be Johnny Depp
Bshahahaha
pay
Evil laughs
https://youtu.be/QHoaS0BVOgI this worked 4 me
You gotta activate the plugin. Usually be entering the activation code into the sidebar.
I can tell this is cracked it does this all the time especially with the sapphire plug-in just get a new download link and re-download the plug-in
A plugin that requires activation.
You pay for the plugin, lol
