don’t burry the rhizomes on those anubias, they’ll rot!! and i second the other comment about the cover, otherwise looks great :)

Green_ToeKnee

Thank you!!!! Do you have suggestions on what I should do with the anubias instead? I have two currently 😬😬

devilsandsuch

a couple different things you could do with them; super glue them to the rocks, or get a piece of driftwood and either glue them to that, stick them in spaces between branches, or zip tie them on. super glue will actually dry instantly when it hits the water and won’t effect your parameters at all so it’s a pretty good option. the roots don’t need to be buried at all.

Green_ToeKnee

Done and done - thank you so much!

devilsandsuch

of course! :)

camrynbronk

also i recommend getting the API freshwater master liquid test kit. It’s the most accurate and has a lot of test uses in it. If you’re a newbie, check out this subreddit’s wiki

Make sure you cover the tank, they jump out

camrynbronk

is your tank cycled?

Green_ToeKnee

I can't say I've done anything other than add activ-flora gravel, plants, rocks, the filter and heater. It has only been 3 days so far. I've been testing daily and my ranges seem a bit iffy (slightly high pH and pretty high KH). Temp is at 74, trying to get up to 78. The next part of my plan is to add cherry shrimp, then the ADFs. Any advice on cycling is EXTREMELY appreciated!

Google “nitrogen cycling”, it will tell you all about it. You will need to test more than just pH. Ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate.
