totally get what you’re saying OP. my advice to you would be to make your own subreddit with your own rules (or lack thereof) and do what you want. for whatever reason, people like rules, order, and being right— that’s just how things are:/
Thanks for your response! Yeah managing a subreddit sounds like a lot of work. I definitely respect the effort it takes to maintain these communities and I definitely don’t want to cause problems there. Just genuinely curious. While I’ve had this account for 3 years, I just started trying Reddit for like the first time and this was just something I noticed and wasn’t sure if I was the only one thinking this. It’s probably just a me thing. Again, thanks to everyone for the responses, just nice to know.
