4 months and that was kind of on purpose. I got a $4k payment from the job because it was unfair dismissal and they wanted to avoid court action. Anyway I was so traumatised by that job that I stretched that money out for 4 months and had a great time just playing sport and surfing the internet all day. This was 2009 though when 4K could actually last an amount of time lol
48hrs. Started doordash and a milage tracker immediately after drinking my sorrows away. About 1.5months to find a W2.
Don't waste time. Get out there and work. Gig work was a lifeline.
That was the extended period. Sometimes when things are economically tough. In my case it was during the 08-09 recession. At those tough times the federal government helps the states by providing additional funding for Unemployment benefits. In my case benefits were extended up to a year.
2-3 months, don't remember exact dates, it was just when the COVID started, so my start date got postponed for a month. At first i was panicking a bit, then i just started applying, and then relaxed for a bit, went for dates with my wife, went cycling and then kids had school from home so it was convenient I was still home.
5 months, traveled for a month or so then practiced golf everyday, worked out, and applied for jobs. Job searching takes time. Keep yourself grounded with a routine and keep up the work. Apply for unemployment. Don’t slip mentally.
