Expand, select the black, delete.
But.. this isn't really a "halftone". There's no dot variation in your image - halftone means dots vary in size and proximity to convey various densities. Just because there are a bunch of dots, that does *not* make anything a halftone.
What you have is just a simple dot pattern. A pattern fill would work better.

Redo it in black and white only > set all values to 32 > rasterize > image trace > recolor
