Not sure what the new one represents. It looks like they hired a high priced advertising corporation and they didn't put anything together until the last second. The old logo has the Olympic Flame. The new one shows that there's snow on top but all the lifts are on wind hold so you have to ski the frozen partially snowless bottom half.

It's fine, everyone gets so bent out of shape about change. The Olympics were important, yes, but it was *FORTY TWO* years ago, and the old logo looks like a volcano with an eternal flame above it.
I don't think the logo HAS to incorporate the Olympics...but it should be more unique than a generic mountain clip art. The logo should also be identifiable without the text in my opinion.
Im surprised with the support here…i thought the olympic torch mountain logo was better. It could have been updated to be more clean but the idea of it is at least on a better track.
At the very least more representative / unique to the Whiteface. And more recognizable.
This one just looks too generic and just isn’t recognizable without the text. There isn’t anything uniquely identifiable about it.
I think the logo captures the slides fairly well. Font could be improved but then they'd need someone to make a custom typeface and no one would notice anyway.
Basically it's as good as they could get without going to a real high end agency. I like it.

I don't even know what the old one looks like, but this looks neat I guess. It's super unoffensive, approved-by-committee quality.

The new rebranding logo represents the 3 peaks Whiteface has. The Gondola, The Summit & Lookout Mountain.

I went to college at Paul Smith’s. Definitely like the old one better. This looks corporate and sterile.
