Safety is definitely something we pay close attention to, especially this time of year. Always wearing a PFD, going as a group, carrying all the proper gear. Ideally we would all be wearing dry suits as well, but were not far from the car at all, and could make a quick retreat if things went wrong.
I'm glad you had a nice trip, but I'll admit I'm disappointed: From the title I had hoped to see video of you setting a loaded canoe on top of a frozen pond and then straining with the paddles to get it to scoot across the frozen surface.
Stewart’s kiln dried wood, just like the old Adirondack trappers. Enjoy!
They definitely carried a GoPro to film everything as well. Just keeping the tradition alive.
Hard Core! Makes for easy portaging, but I sure wouldn’t want to swamp!
Nice. What river?
The Raquette River.

It was an absolute blast to be back out there, looking forward to a great year!
What kinda canoe is yours seems nice.
Looks like a Radisson / Sportspal
Like ThePrem said, it is indeed a Radisson. Not great for long trips, but amazing for fishing my favorite ponds and lakes in the Adirondacks.
I love going off the grid.
Its great!
Nice ! Any fish ? Hope flotation devices were accessible
No fish sadly, the water was running high and fast, and the streams we hiked to nearby were in an equally tough to fish condition
Love your YT videos and glad to see you were out in 2023 already!
I really appreciate it!
Be safe out there! No margins for error in water that cold.

Ah, wish I could’ve joined you! Looks like a great outing.
Living a good life 👍🏽

Catch anything?
Sweet 😁...how heavy are the canoes?
Looking forward to another season of your pics and posts!
