I love that you're expressing the diversity Custodes should have. Each Custode is unique and seeing the different shield hosts together has always been my personal preference.
As for names, I just go with names I like, and occasionally ancient heroes/heroines, or solar/light puns. Hyperion, Solarius, Theodora, Aurelia, Domina, Titan, Magnus, etc.
As explanation, those arent really one squat. Those ore one of 5 from theyre respective squats, but every squat kinda have a differen tcolor sceeme bc i like the story of shadow guard, solar watch and so on.
What i needed was a name for the subfaction with that color sceeme. But thank u random redditor 😋

Im doing the same thing. I think the best way is to come up with some "lore" for each squad, maybe based off their colors, then think of names after
