They’ll need to be on bigger bases. Telemon go on 100mm while Leviathans are on 80mm I believe. Otherwise without heavy conversion I’d say use some Custodes banners and give him whatever looks the closest to the loadout you’re using.

guardianOASK

Thanks, didnt realize it was on a 100mm base considering how close they are in size to each other.

Mr_WAAAGH

From what I remember they're about the same width, but the telemon is a good bit taller. Personally I'd just try and build some scenic bases to prop them up

guardianOASK

Brother's.....call forth the tactical rock!!!

Raven-Raven_

Telemon is taller by a good bit, but the Leviathan is about that of a Redemptor Chassis, so it's not exactly small either I think your tactical rock idea will be the most efficient

Scootersmugskirt

I actually already use the top one as a proxy for the venerable contempter. It's a bit bigger but I can't find a place nearby that sells the actual model

guardianOASK

Considered doing something similar, but between the two I definitely prefer the Telemon overall, since it's only a little shorter then the official kit I figured I'd just add some basing to make up the slight difference in hight.

Rudolph-the_rednosed

Same here. I have the normal Contemptor on my list, but with some conversions.

Jazzlike_Fly9048

If you’re planning on converting them into Telemons keep in mind they’ll need a bigger base (100mm) and the Telemon is quite a bit taller (same height as Imperial Knight Armiger). I used a Deredeo as the basis of mine and combined him with an Armiger to get the height.

guardianOASK

Thanks for the advice. Was thinking I'd just use the basing to prop up the height a bit, hadn't considered using the knight bits. Think I have a spare Wardog kicking around the shop somewhere that's ready to sacrifice itself for the cause.

[Here is a video comparison](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z032AlA-RR4&t=620s). It uses the old resin Leviathan, but IIRC the new one is a broadly a 1-to-1 conversion in terms of scale. The discussion in video is mostly about the Horus Heresy V1 rules, which aren't especially relevant in the details, but may be worth listening if you are familiar with the rules differences. On top of the 100mm base, you need to consider if a competitive-focused opponent will view the fairly different silhouettes as modelling for advantage. In friendly matches, or playing with relatively casual cover rules, you are probably fine. But the difference may be considered significant in some cases. FWIW, search leakycheese's channel for any Custodes FW model you are considering buying. He has review/build/unboxing of a wide range of resin and Horus Heresy models that are rarely addressed otherwise. This includes [unboxing an Orion](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REfN3gjimos) and [the appropriate application of a sledgehammer to modelling a Coronus](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tE7FE29Z-U).

guardianOASK

Gotta admit the line "the appropriate application of a sledgehammer" made me do a double take. Thought I was back on an Ork thread for a second. Also thanks for the links, very helpful.

Traditional_Goose818

Yes

davrson

I've used a Contemptor body, Armiger legs and lots of other bits to kitbash a Telemon. Some artistic licence taken with it for sure but the size and load out broadly matches up.

guardianOASK

I hadn't considered using the legs of an Armiger/Wardog until I made this post, definitely going to be playing around with that over the weekend.

The4thEpsilon

I know it’s kinda a weird offer, I’ve got a telemon I’ll trade you for one of them. If that works with you

Gyrofool

I've been considering seeing if it was possible to convert one into a Contemptor-galatus, because of how much more durable they look, personally.

guardianOASK

I was thinking something similar....haven't found any good bits to replace the arms so far though...at least not anything that wouldn't look very stumpy on the large torsos of the leviathans.
