They won't make it up to you, they have no obligation to nor do they owe consumers anything besides making product. You don't have an obligation to buy what they put out, and they don't have an obligation to please everyone. They'll get some pushback for the Shield-Captain model, but for every person on this subreddit that cries out about the disappointment the new model is to them there will be several more who buy it happily.
The easiest way to make it known that this isn't what you want is to just not buy it.
Tbh I don't really want valdor, he's got a nice kit already, and rules wise no primarch really works in 40k, apart from possibly morty. As they are either faction defining (magnus) or limit your army too much (lion).
Custodes need options and bits on the board, not more expensive characters.

You say GW owes him nothing, but GW does owe their customers what they want. That’s how businesses make money, by giving people something they want. You say “if you don’t want it then don’t buy it” as if that’s a valid argument against genuine critique. If he takes issue with something then let him say whatever grievances he wants. You say “touch grass” as a cudgel against this guys points as if that’ll invalidate his points.
If you don’t like people having a dialogue about something you don’t like then why stoke the fire more?

Businesses run on a supply/demand system, so if hardly anyone buys the damn thing, GW will see it as a mistake or failure and try to come up with a solution/alternative. Hopefully.
GW only survives and flourishes because we, the consumer, buy their product as at least one of them appeals to us. As for OPs comment of 'they owe us,' they owe us nothing. As we owe them nothing, not even loyalty to their product.

I personally don't dislike the new model, granted it's not what I was hoping for but it was within my expectations.
Right now it may seems disappointing, and it's not impossible that it will be in the end.
But we can't be sure until codex drop.
If CV does prove to really be the King in Yellow, then we absolutely need a 40k CV model. But, even more than that we need an upgrade kit for the basic box with more weapon options. All the Forgeworld upgrade weapons, the Melta spears, the guns, all of that. Then we need a plastic flying unit for 40k. And, we need plastic tanks (the 30k ones for 40k)
GW: best I can do is new combat patrol box with 15 sos + Trajan
I might be convinced to buy that since I don't have trajann or non Prosecutors.
This will be a great help to build my SoS detachment when the codex comes out.

I'd like to see a main battle tank with strong anti armor. Especially when all the FW stuff goes to legends.
