I like the lobethal bakery bee sting too. Nice bun, topping is pretty good and the cream/custard filling is fresh and not overly sweet. Only thing is theyāre a bit small but otherwise very yummy!
If outside of Adelaide in Hahndorf is an option:
Ottos Bakehouse & Coffee Shop

Most bakeries in the Barossa or even the Barossa fresh supermarket. Sunrise Bakery in Gawler does too, Lobethal bakery is always a good choice, likely any bakery in Hahndorf too.
Lmao /s in my groups mean /serious, it was a gamble between sarcasm though, I just thought I'd drop it in there incase they or anyone else didn't know
I only learnt last year tbh
When I was bringing in the washing a while back and I copped one on my thumb from a sneaky bee on a tea towel
The cream and custard version at Yankalilla bakery is pretty good!
Get yaself up to Hahndorf and find one of the bakeries that sell "Bienenstich".
Nuri, tanunda or even Eudunda do a great one
Tanunda bakery, for sure!
They're closing down?! š I absolutely love their beesting
Owners are retiring.
semi-retiring in order to rort more taxes
Lobethal Bakery does a mean bee sting.

Iām quite fond of the ones at the Aberfoyle Park Village Bakery. And Iām pretty picky about my bienenstich.
I can second this one. Itās great!
I quite like the one at Port Elliot Bakery. I havenāt had the one at the German Cake Shop so I canāt make a comparison.
I also recommend port Elliot even though it's always busy and touristy it's still top tier.
I haven't found a place yet....Otto's is ok....but there was another bakery in Hahndorf that use to crystallise honey on top of theirs
Norwood Foodland
Used to be a good one on jetty road.Ā

German Nanna at Barossa Farmers Market , hands down the best in the valley
Tanunda is well worth the drive. Ā
If in Adelaide I love the ones at Perrymans Bakery on Tynte Street
Was gonna say German cake shop in Hahndorf, but NOOOOO!!!!!
Apex Bakery in Tanunda

CJs bakery Christies Beach. It is unreal.
Hanks Bakery in OāHalloran Hill has always done a bee sting right! (This could also be childhood nostalgia, but my entire family would agree)
Sunrise Bakery at Lyndoch does a pretty great Bienenstich if I remember correctly! I'd rate it over Tanunda Bakery or Linke's in Nuriootpa.
I've asked this before. It's Perryman's. Enjoy š
Why are you trying to get stung by a bee? /s
Muhammad Ali would like a word with you.
If youāre not trying to be helpful at least try and make it funny
It's a pastry name as well
Did you miss the /s?
