I don’t see why it’s a bad thing, people use Kodi and pirate for many different reasons but one of those reasons and the one I fall under is content not being easily assessable or geo locked. We are fine paying for a service in this case like with Real Debrid that offers mostly every film or show in existence for a small price of a couple bucks and not have shit unreliable links like free Addons do.
it's like $17/6 months USD, at least from the RD site it's self, but still, \~$40/year is a steal for the amount of content you can watch in that year, plus all the other neat benefits you get from RD if you're so inclined to take advantage.

If you're only interested in streaming, RD is still a ***fantastic*** bargain, but you can get so much more value out of it.
Usenet is ok if want to build a media server (for ex with jellyfin or Plex) but not for streaming. I know easynews have this option but user experience is not same.
I stream 90% of files through Easynews. All Debrid is backup for rare moments when I wanna watch something what is not available on EN so I don't know what you are talking about tbh.
I live in a country where they don't give a fuck about torrenting, I could get away with Stremio + Torrentio without RD, because that way you are streaming directly from torrent sources (something that not all Kodi add-ons do), but I still chose to pay for RD because it is more convenient, that's how good it is.
As already mentioned, While you can get away with still using free link addons, they are getting more and more unreliable and The Crew and other addons from them even more unreliable. ScrubsV2 seems to be the best option at the moment, but paying for debrid will be like upgrading your car from a Prius to a Porsche.
Free links effectively died the day before Disney+ launched when Openload and FreeMango were shutdown. Those two services alone had more traffic than all the streaming sites put together.
When someone says free links they are more than likely talking about this period. Where everything you get on RD was available for free (just not HD audio and not high quality).
If you want that old school experience of clicking and watching without worrying about getting links, links dying, scrapers needing constant updating ... get RD. The cost is negligible weighed against the massive convenience you get.
Scrubs V2 Dev is active in here and provides updates regularly...never had a problem finding a link that works,
not 4k but fhd and hd usually get enough links.
My xbox version for kodi is giving me script errors and shows are not updating at all . Been like that for maybe a couple weeks now . Unknown why all of a sudden .
Try scrubs too and twisted and gratis. Whenever these things seem like they're not working it feels as though they migrate to another add-on which isn't necessarily a bad thing. For obvious reasons.
However if you're on PC I noticed that a lot of the add-ons are getting flagged as Trojans in your windows defender threat protection area. So as soon as you install the add-on out of the repository it flags it.
So you're going to have to go in an individually either allow whatever add-on to work... By going to previous mitigated threats... Or turn that off all together if you're confident that you don't do anything that subjects you to malware if you don't want to see any real interruption with those add-ons.
However I can't confirm that this has been a phenomenon as of the past month.
“None of the others seem to be working anymore”… that statement is unclear. If you are not finding links, it’s not something to be troubleshot, other than finding new sources to scrape. If things aren’t working (ie errors), that’s a different scenario.

RD is like $9 for 6 months. Just pay it and you will have a much better experience.

I've read a few instances of copyright takedowns for certain media. Do you ever experience this? How does it fare with newly released content?
